I bought a pair of these two years ago so I've had some time to "review" them. I did a lot of prior research because I get a lot of windshield time each and every month all over the Rockies. I'm on 24/7 call so I have to pick up and go no matter the time or weather conditions. These lights have been thousands of miles through all imaginable road conditions and they have not served me as well as I had hoped. The biggest problem is the curvature of the bulbs which allows enough upward light to render them useless in heavy fog or snow. Many times I've been out in heavy fog or blizzard conditions trying to optimize the lights positions so I could see to drive. I've never found a spot that really works. I paid a lot of money for a concept that sounds great but that fails to deliver. I've had no problems with the lights or the controls and after all this time the lights only exhibit light pitting on the lenses which I think speaks for the quality of the product. They are great looking on a bull bar and the plasma ion color is really nice but there's just too much light in the air and not enough on the road.

Have a similar pair on older vehicle that I've had for 10 years now and are they best lights ever!! These are junk. The mounting bolts have a swivel so can be adjusted to proper angle, however they will not stay put at all! tighten them up and they still wobble all over. Also the light pattern sucks. low beam shines just ahead of you about 10 feet, good for 10 mph, high beam shines too high great for lighting up tree tops. I adjusted them so high beams light up the road ahead, not tree tops, and low beams light up shoulder of road and barley visible ahead of you. Then there is the multi colored bulb. looks cool in the snow i guess yellow, blue, and purple, distracting while driving though. high beam bluish white, good brightness but beam to narrow. Thought I would stick with piaa, US made, but never again! Another case of a company that used to make a decent product only to drop the ball. Total disappointment, for their price piaa should be ashamed!!

Instilled on 99 Tahoe 2 door sport on a pre runner baja bar looks good and works as it should. Install was easy PIAA.made the light harness to be plug and play didn't have to cut no wires or drill any holes just used factory grommets to run wires through fire wall lights light up the road way ahead of ya if you adjust them on the road at night on a back road and get them where you want them pointed with a 17mm wrench and connect the back let leds to a non flashing parking light power wire.. took about 4hrs but I hid my wiring and used wire loom where I could I like to keep it clean looking. So I took as long as I wanted to with the install.

Lights work great and look good. They could be a little brighter as they are barely brighter if any at all over the stock dodge fog lights. Overall they are a cool blue/white color and am happy with the purchase. I got what I paid for in my opinion.

The PIAA 525 dual lights are just great. The bright white high beam is far brighter that my standard Toyota lights and the lo beam yellow lights are great for inclement weather.. I would buy them again,...Ron

Wanted a set of fog/driving lights but didn't want to install 2 sets of different lights. Found these and thought these are perfect. They are nice lights, alot of wires to install but not hard to follow directions. Been using them in the rain and bad weather using the low fog lights. The high beams are bright and give good distance. Love these lights and glad I bought them.

I looked around for a decent dual-beam auxillary lamp setup for quite some time before buying these. Living in the mountains of western Pennsylvania, I run into both fog and deer along the roadside on a regular basis. There is only so much room on the front of my Jeep, so these dual beam lights work perfectly. The fog setting stays low, even though the lights are mounted approximately three feet off the ground. They compliment and aim the exact same area and distance as my factory low beams. With the push of the button, the driving beams far surpass my high beams in both distance and brightness.
I compared these to WARN's SDB-160s that a fellow Jeeper has. Unfortunately for him, we couldn't tell a difference in distance or brightness in a side-by-side. I will admit though that his beam pattern is crisper and has less artifacts (I assume mine are from the PIAA covers).
If you want a good idea how much I like these lights, my family owns three pairs, one on each vehicle.

These PIAAs definitely cost more than other PIAA options, but I found them to be totally worth it, as I can use them on-road without being flashed or getting pulled over. As far as the back-lit housings, I would compare the color to a blue-chrome. It is NOT pure LED blue, so you don't have to worry about being pulled over, but you can definitely see it at night.
