I initially added an Omega-3 (with CoQ10, DHA, EPA, and L-Carnitine Fumarate) formula to the supplements I take, then later this Beet Root product. I added Beet Root because research has indicated that it dialates the blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and allowing for increased oxygen intake (and an according boost in energy) when exercising. My blood pressure readings have been almost, but not quite, at the pre-hypertension level.

I bicycle, and run on an elliptical. After two months of Omega-3 plus one month of this Beet Root, I'm able to put forth an additional effort. I am able to ride about 5% faster on my bike, and run about 5% faster on the elliptical. I haven't extended my bicycle rides, or run for longer periods on the elliptical. I'm riding the same distance and running for the same time as before. And I'm just as tired when my exercise is over ;) But I am able to go about 5% faster.

Sometimes there is a "placebo effect". You think you should improve, so you do even though the supplement is worthless. But having tried a different CoQ10 + L-Carnitine Fumarate supplement recently that did absolutely NOTHING for me - advertised as an energy booster, but I got ZERO boost - I think I can identify whether this supplement truly makes a difference or is a waste of money.

I noticed an initial slight improvement with the Omega-3 (about 2.5%), then an additional slight improvement (another 2.5%) when I added this Beet Root. Considering my recent experience with the other supplement that did nothing for me, I doubt I'm experiencing a "placebo effect" with what I'm taking now.

So, I feel slightly, but noticeably, stronger since adding these supplements. I'm purchasing this Beet Root supplement through Amazon's 'subscribe and save' program.

I ordered this product to help increase my ferritin levels and help with anemia. These are great for that. One caution I would give is to make sure you drink plenty of water if you take these. Beets contain oxalic acid, which in some people can be hard for their kidneys to process as well. So... drink plenty of water.

I get this product for my husband, it has really helped him to keep his blood pressure under control and it is such a good price, he just can't stand to drink the beet root powder so this products is much easier for him to take and it's also has good nutritional value.

I can't take "traditional" BP medicine so I thought this would be worth a try. It is great! My blood pressure was running in the 150's to 170's and now it doesn't get above 140. I am hoping for a little lower since I have only been taking for a month so far.

Since 2005 my BP has averaged 140/80, with scatter here and there. I check it frequently, with one of the digital wrist readers available at Amazon [which I have checked against my physician's equipment for accuracy]. With no other changes than adding this supplement to my daily routine, I have seen those numbers drop to an average of 120/75. That's a significant improvement, without getting on a Statin.

I am a physician and I will tell you that this product is excellent - it increases the level of nitric oxide which is a vasodilator and does other great things. To get the maximum benefit combine taking beet root along with L-citrulline and Pycnogenol. The combination is a WOW.

While researching countless articles about gallstones and how to prevent them, I came across several articles about the benefits of beets and how it helps with not only the pain while passing the stone, but it's preventitve properties. I was also suprised to read that it helps lower blood pressure and gives you energy. Well, I'm here to announce that not only does my side feel better, but my energy level has improved and my blood pressure is way down. Certainly one would expect my BP to be higher while in pain and I took that into account the first time I tried the Beet Root Caps, but it's been a few weeks and I can say that not only is the BP down, but I have to drink less coffee to keep my energy up. I love beets, but I'm not going to open a can everyday and try to rinse off the sodium or, cook the beets when it doesn't go well with the meal, so this is a great alternative. The down side may be the 2 caps 3 times a day, but I don't require that many so it's moot. One more positive is that the energy you feel can best be described as having just experienced a great nap and waking refreshed. I'm a convert and I recommend that for the price you give it a try.

I was surprised when the doctor told me that the pain I was having in my back/side was most likely a gall bladder problem (I thought I had a kidney stone). I was more surprised that the MRI he wanted me to have was over $5000. (Don't ask me why an ultrasound wasn't good enough, I have the same question). I refused the MRI but realized he was probably right. I started paying attention to the pain I'd been having for several years and decided I'd try to see what I could do on my own before I had to have it removed. I started taking 6 capsules of beet root powder per day (3 in the morning, 3 before bed) and very quickly I noticed the pain felt better. I could tell when I'd forgotten to take it because I'd have a dull ache in my side. Every couple weeks I'd get an intense pain in my side and then the next day I'd feel great. I think I'd passed a stone.

About 6 weeks in, I also started taking Stone Free (http://www.amazon.com/Planetary-Herbals-Stone-Tablets-tablets/dp/B001G7QEUQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1368800900&sr=8-1&keywords=stone+free) Which for the record tastes really awful. I've taken it about a month now, but sporadically because I hate the taste. Some days I forget.

A few days ago I had a pretty big pain in my side. In fact, I was at my son's graduation and he was three min from the crossing the stage. I thought that it was "it" that I was having a full on attack. I just wanted him to get his diploma before I had to go to the emergency room. But within 15 minutes I felt lots better, just achy. Since then, I've barely had any pain at all! I think I might have passed the mother of all gallstones. (Or at least I hope so). I will continue to take both the beet root powder and the stone free.
