*I recommend this product because Lyc-O-Mato is the tomato extract that was studied by Israeli researchers in blood pressure studies. The study had both BP patients taking and not taking anti BP medicines. The dosage of Lyc-O-Mato was 15 mg. per day.(the same as 4 tomatoes) The studies showed reductions in BP readings.

*There was a study, published in the American Heart Journal. It tells of adults ages 30-70 years with stage 1 hypertension, which is systolic BP between 140 and 159mmHG, and the diastolic pressure is between 90 and 99mmHG. Normal BP is around 120/80, and doctors consider anything between that and 140/90 to be "prehypertension."
Participants took a placebo for 4 weeks. Then they took tomato extract capsules daily for eight weeks. Finally, they spent four more weeks taking placebo capsules.
Researchers found antioxidant-rich tomato extract could effectively lower blood pressure in persons having stage-1 hypertension. You can google this info about lycopene, Lyc-O-mato or tomato extract and BP studies and the American Heart Journal. Lyco-O-Mato does have a Web page. Please research for yourself.

*There are researchers saying that Lycopene isolated alone does not have BP lowering effects. Lyc-O-Mato gives you the full array of carotenoids and other anti-oxidants. This is much more powerful than a Lycopene isolate. Lyc-O-Mato offers the synergy of Phytoene, Phytofluene, Phytosterols, Beta-carotene and Vit. E. That's an army of anti-oxidants!

*Lyc-O-Mato is a tomato extract containing antioxidant polyphenols lycopene, phytoene, and phytofluene.
Lyc-O-Mato is the best. It is a registered trademark product. It is sold by many retailers Check prices and the many products @ Amazon. I have been using it a couple of years.
