well first I got a Belkin PCI card from Frys, plug it in a old celeron computer. W2k won't recognize it. Then I return it and get this Airlink+ instead. It generally work ok, but most of the signal are rated "poor" or "bad"(-60, -70 range), while my wireless laptop will rate the singal "good" or "normal". Not sure why. But I could still use it fine. so, 3 stars.

I might agree with the above review of Paul G "Qtaro" but I don't agree with the above review of Tall Paul about Arilink wireless devices. While installing wireless connection, we should carefully and meticulously follow the requirements of wireless routers and wireless adapters. Not only depend on the quality of wireless devices but also depend on the strength or weakness of our computer systems, the wireless signal will be strong or weak . As I successfully installed my wireless network at home using Airlink Wireless Router (Model AR325W; also available at Amazon.com) and Airlink wireless PCI or USB adapters (Model AWLH3026, AWLL3026 or AWLH3025) with Windows ME or higher versions, I could even share internet access with my nextdoor fellows. To me, Airlink wireless devices are the most affordable products for everyone to set up wireless connection at home to enjoy high speed internet access nowadays.

The purchase price was a steal. I had no problem installing this card into my network. I am getting excellent signal strength, even after moving my computer outside to see if it would go low(50 feet). The reason the others are having trouble with this or any other card is that the router will drop MAC address if the configurations are changed. All cards that are IEEE certifed are pretty much a thumbs up; its a matter of finding a great price such as this one.

No wonder why this card was only $9.95 at a retail store. I got what I paid for. Unbelievably slow speeds and constant disconnects. I took it back for a refund and got a Netgear card, no more problems. When it comes to wireless products its best to stay with reputable brands (Netgear, Belkin, D-Link..).
