Fairly OddParents Season 1

Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

Knighty Knight

Sick and tired of the lame Ren Fair and wanting to gain a first hand experience of the middle ages, Timmy wishes himself, Chester, AJ and Vicky (by accident) into the middle ages, explaining it away as the cool part of Renaissance Fair. Which is fine, except a dragon kidnaps Vicky because his master needs a tooth from the face of evil for a spell that will wreak revenge on the Fairy who destroyed his career - you guessed it - Cosmo!

Where's Wanda?

Timmy enters Cosmo and Wanda (as his pet goldfish) in a movie-themed contest at Dimmsdale Elementary. When his miniature recreation of "Jaws" wins first place, one of his goldfish (Wanda) suddenly disappears! Who could have taken her? Was it AJ, his genius best friend? Ms. Waxleplax, the seafood-loving school principle? Trixie Tang, the girl he loves? Or Francis, the school bully? Timmy must use the skills of a hardboiled detective to crack this case before Cosmo and Wanda miss their probation hearing with Jorgen Von Strangle.

Power Pals!

Timmy's friends are tired of always being treated like his underlings. So they form the "Anti-Timmy Force Four," leaving Timmy totally friendless. With no one to hang out with, Timmy wishes for Super Friends who will like him no matter how he acts. His wish is granted- literally. He now has a group of Super Heroes for pals. But they're too busy "saving the day" to just hang out and have fun, and they treat Timmy worse than a sidekick.

Who's Your Daddy?

It's time for the Father-Son Squirrly Scout competition, and Timmy and his Dad are a shoe-in to win. But before the big event, Dad gets called away for work leaving Timmy without a partner. The hunt is on as Timmy tries to find a replacement Dad among all the fathers in Dimmsdale.

Boys in the Band

Vicky has kidnapped teen singing sensation Chip Skylark, and a stadium full of screaming girls (and Mrs. Turner) is going to tear the town apart if he doesn't perform for them. While Cosmo and his Monkees-like band, stall for time, Timmy must figure a way to break Vicky's crush and get Chip to the stadium on time.

DVD VERSION FEATURES THESE BONUS EPISODES

Chip off the Old Chip

To win the male lead in the school musical and play opposite Trixie Tang, Timmy wishes for Chip Skylark's voice. But while Timmy has Chip's voice, Chip now has Timmy's voice, and Chip's singing career quickly plummets. Timmy tries to wish everything back to normal. But Cosmo and Wanda can only grant a wish when it's made in their Godchild's voice.

Pipe Down!

When Timmy is shouted at one-too-many times, he wishes that everyone would just pipe down. Now the entire world is quiet. Too quiet. And Timmy can't undo the wish because no one can hear him!

BUTCH HARTMAN'S PICKS

TIMMY'S TOP WISHES

KNIGHTY KNIGHT
The Dimmsdale Camelot Festival is so boring, Timmy wishes himself into the REAL Middle Ages.

WHERE'S WANDA?
Timmy enters Cosmo and Wanda (disguised as his pet goldfish with shark fins) in a "Jaws" parody for his school's movie-themed contest. He wins first place, but loses Wanda!

POWER PALS!
Timmy's treating his friends badly, so they all decide to stop hanging around with him. Now alone, Timmy wishes for new friends...super friends. Only his new superhero pals are too busy saving the day to hang out with him.

WHO'S YOUR DADDY?
It's the Father-Son Squirrelly Scout Camping Competion, but Timmy's dad gets called away to work. So Timmy wishes for a replacement dad, and takes turn testing them out.

BOYS IN THE BAND
On the night of his birthday, Timmy's parents go to a Chip Skylark concert! Angry, Timmy wishes something bad would happen to Chip. And it does. Chip gets stuck in the Turner's house with Vicky!

1.0 out of 5 stars I hate this show so much!, January 11, 2006
A Kid's Review
God, this has to be one of the worst shows in T.V. history! It is an embarassment to animated television. I seem to be the only kid who hates this piece of junk. The animation is horrible, and the actors who do the voices aren't even talented, just plain annoying. What kind of a world do we live in where you can just make up moronic and idiotic concepts and actually have people enjoy it? The creator must have dropped out of school when he was 12 or around that age. I have never liked this show, and never will. I hope they eventually take it off the air.

Oh, and by the way, Futurama, a great show, got cancelled after 4 seasons. This crap is still running. Here's 4 simple words I have for America: WHAT THE HELL, MAN?
