Originally, I had a 36" Frigidaire range in my house, and the prospects for replacing it weren't pretty. The options are the very low quality standard Premier ranges ($600) or the $3000-$5000 commercial models.

Thankfully, Premier has a 'pro' line of stainless steel ranges to fill the void. I paid $1050 (and picked it up), though you could buy it cheaper here at Amazon, but pay for shipping.

This range is not a commercial range, though it does have 'the look'. When you open the oven door, you'll notice that it doesn't have the heft of it's more expensive brothers. However, that said, if you're looking to replace an older model, and have to fill that 36" hole in your countertop, be sure to check this range out.

I got my range, and installed it in about an hour and a half. The change from natural gas to LP took about 20 minutes. The 6 burners each go from 'simmer' to 12,000 BTU. The included griddle is fantastic - it fits over the two center burners (after removing the grates) and gives excellent even heating.

I recently cooked thankgiving dinner in the oven, and could fit an 18 lb turkey, two 3 quart baking dishes AND a cookie sheet full of dinner rolls inside the oven - try that with your 30" range!

The small cabinet next to the oven is useful for storing the griddle and a couple of cookie sheets.

A few minor nits - the backsplash looks a bit outdated in it's design, and the clock/timer combo is very basic. The lack of a self cleaning oven stings a little, and, of course, the bottom broiler, while it works very well, is back breaking to use.

I love the continuous grate surface of the stove, and the powerful burners - this unit is a great replacement for my old 36" range.

If you're looking for a 6 burner gas range that's well designed, good looking and reasonably priced, this is it! I purchased one of these Premier Pro stainless steel ranges 5 months ago for a newly renovated kitchen at our retreat center where we use it occasionally to prepare large meals for groups. Ours is running on LP gas and I had it shipped cross country and installed it myself. It arrived with some minor shipping damage that I failed to notice before signing for the range (the frame was slightly bent but luckily I was able to bend it back into position so that everything fit together properly). The instillation took a couple of hours but it all went pretty smoothly.

If you're located in an area where electric power could be unreliable or if you're using SOLAR ELECTRIC POWER, THIS IS THE RANGE FOR YOU! Both the oven and the cooktop can be operated without electricity (lit with a match and there's no power wasting "glowbar" in the oven), so if you have gas, it will cook. The oven is particularly nice, plenty of space, even temperature distribution, and it has a pretty accurate temperature control. The top burners have a somewhat limited range of heat output; even when set on their lowest setting they tend to put out too much heat to simmer something in a small pan or too little heat to bring a large pot of water to a boil when you're in a hurry.

This range looks great and I am very happy that I enlarged my kitchen opening to 36 inches to accommodate it. I would suggest that you buy a set of burner protector pans at a hardware store to make it easier to clean drips from pots.

I purchased the 36 inch stove in 2006. There weren't many reviews online and I went by looks and the decent "press". The range is as others described - junk. Sheet metal thin, poor engineering tolerances, sharp edges, chincey parts, and the clock broke on day 1. The only decent part of the stove is the cast iron grates. Like someone else I could see the insulation peaking out the seems in the oven compartment. The broiler is especially atrocious. The rail the drawer runs on are built like a cheap $30 file cabinet. The whole thing is built this way. A fair price for this range is $300-$400. I replaced it with a mid level Maytag $800 - something decent but not great. However, it was head and shoulders a better stove. Really like going from a Ford Pinto to a Rolls Royce. This stove is that bad!

This thing is a total piece of crap. None of the metal parts fit together well and the finish is horrible. The cast iron grates on top are uneven and cause your pots and pans to wobble and make noise when you cook. I wish I didn't have to buy a 36" range...this is the only affordable one out there and I can tell why. Spend the extra $600 and buy anything but this. Everytime I use it I am disappointed. You really do get what you pay for.

Bought this hunk of junk in July of 2010,and a little over 6 months later the oven has to be gutted and rewired. After several calls to Premier I finally spoke to a person not an answering machine and inquired about buying an extended warranty and was told nope after the year you are on your own. Doing more research online I wish I didnt buy it there are nothing but horror stories about this company.
