At least on the extra small size - the clasp is so small and difficult to squeeze that we cannot get it open. Period. The collar material is also very stiff, especially when adjusted to it's smallest measure. Totally unusable for us. I'd return it, but not worth the shipping cost. Avoid this one!

This collar fits my dog well, was easy to put on and is holding up great! The color is a little different (still pink, just a slightly different shade) than shown in the picture. It adjusts easily. I gave it 4 of 5 stars because the color fades every time I was my dog. I imagine it is fading anytime it gets wet. My dog is a black lab so the color doesn't show on her, however, I imagine a lighter colored dog would have some discoloration from wearing this color.

Gorgeous bright hot pink color! Looks great on my Akita! Went with the large size collar although medium would have fit. I like the one inch size width on the large better. I like the snap lock which allows for a better fit on the adjustable collar. Great price too.

We bought one from a local big box pet store 5 years ago. It was made of nice thick, heavy duty nylon. It is still in excellent shape but is now rather faded after that much time but the store stopped carrying them. Found it on-line and thought great, let's order one. Now we know why the store probably stopped carrying them - a much lower quality, flimsy material than before...

The color looks like a beautiful bright lavender on my computer screen, but boy is it different in real life! It was a dull greyish purple. Also, the place where the color was stitched together was uneven and the end was rough. For the price I'm not going to mess with return shipping. Maybe a local animal shelter will take it.

I like this collar because it has a large ring. Some collars have small rings so it can be difficult to attach tags and a leash. In addition, I like the snap buckle and adjustment mechanism. You can take the collar off of the dog, adjust the length, and then put the collar back on the dog. Some collars require adjustment while still on the dog, and this can be an unpleasant experience for you and the dog.

Lastly, if you dislike the jingle of tags like I do, grab a 3/4" collar tag from boomerang tags, and put it on this collar.

Purchased this for my unexpected Mother's Day gift; a 9 week old yellow lab puppy. Thought she was 12 weeks due to her size, but after looking in her mouth, we realized she was much younger. Now she is 30 pounds and very tall at 15-16 weeks. Vet says she will be 90 to 100. She was left on the side of a busy 45mph road. Now she is safe, growing, and being mothered by our 10 year old male dachshund. The collar expands adequately and is tough. All the chewing, tugging, and growing haven't harmed it. Great product!
