This stuff is indispensable for burns. Unfortunately, the dispenser is ridiculously inappropriate. You will probably NEVER get all of the product out of the bottle. But you won't know for sure until you can't GET anymore out of it, because it makes no noise when you shake the bottle and you can't see into it. It is a fairly thick gel and the squeeze bottle is very hard to squeeze. After a few uses, I have to HIT the bottle HARD against my palm to get anything out of it - a pain in itself and a real nuisance when you are in a hurry - like when you have a BURN!! This product package calls out for redesign. A pump bottle, A tube. A wider mouthed non-squeeze bottle. a jar. ANYTHING BUT THIS D*****D squeeze bottle. I have called the company, but the customer service lady said it was just perfect. I am writing this review so that perhaps the manufacturers will do something about this situation.

Working at fast food is a guarantee for 1st and 2nd degree burns--everything goes from scalding to blistering in the kitchen. This stuff is SO GOOD. Stash it in your bag and the next bad moment for someone isn't nearly so painful. Obviously, do the proper first aid stuff--put the burned part under running cold water until even the inside tissues cool down and not just the surface, otherwise damage is still happening below the skin--and know when something needs an ER run. Not for torn up skin. Otherwise, this is a great help for easing the pain and starting the healing quickly. Good idea to have this in your home medical supply for kitchen or sun burns.

Recommend putting it into your First Aid or trauma kit--and definitely put it into your emergency kit. Most disasters involve heat or fire injuries, and the wait for medical attention in these times are notoriously long, this really would help.

The product shown in the photo is not the product I received. Water Jel BURN JEL has a blue label and contains Lidocaine HCL (2.0%). I am a welder and I've used BURN JEL hundreds of times on burns from my craft. It's a great product and that's why I placed this order. Water Jel COOL JEL is the product I received. It has a green label and contains a number of ingredients, but no lidocaine. I don't know if it works or not because I've never used it. I gave 2 stars because It's not the product pictured and the product description does not match the photo.

I just got this and already had occasion to use this when my wife burnt her hand getting food out of the oven.

It's better than I expected. She is accident prone and her blisters are usually pretty big when she burns herself, but this time, instead of just cold water and an ice pack, we used the gel, and it made a world of difference.

Given that backpacking = campfire/portable stove fire and limited tools, I imagine burning myself when camping and out there, running cold water may not be an option, ice certainly wouldn't be. You might think that if you have a couple of cold compresses that would do, but a cold compress isn't nearly cold enough to compete with ice. This water Jel, tho, would definitely be a life saver in preventing blisters and keeping the burn damage as minimal as possible in these less than ideal conditions.

This is THE best burn treatment for minor household burns. We keep one in the kitchen at all times. Applied immediately it reduces pain and scarring. I burned two fingers a couple of weeks ago but didn't realize I had burned two, so I applied the Burn Jel to only one. The difference in healing time and scarring was remarkable. As an accident prone-awful cook, wife, and mother I have used everything from Aloe vera to yellow mustard to help cooking and hot glue burns. THIS IS THE BEST STUFF I HAVE EVER USED! It instantly soothes burns. I will never ever use anything different.

This is the best stuff for any kind of burns, small to large. It even works well for sunburns. My daughter had an accident with the stove and burned her arm from her wrist to elbow with the burner on high. We put this stuff on the burn, wrapped with gauze. Wow, amazing stuff, she does not even have a scar. I burned my hand with a hot pan, put this gel on my burn immediately, wrapped it up with gauze and it did not even have a mark the next day. We keep this product in all vehicles, camp trailer and our house.
