In an age where everyone is glued to their t.v. or their phone its great to see that Guillows is still providing a quality product that the rest of us can be glued to (figuratively speaking). This is not a pre-painted snap together kit, but a plane that you actually build and cover much like an actual classic Cub. The best part is, once you are finished, you can wind up the motor and let her fly! I have just completed construction after spending a few hours each evening over a week period working on it. While it is easy to break some of the more delicate balsa parts if you aren't careful (especially for a butter-fingered beginner like me) the model builds easy and with a little ingenuity broken parts can easily be fixed or fabricated from scratch using the handy plans that are included. The best part of the whole project is watching the 2-d sheets of balsa become a 3 dimensional aircraft frame. I hope that Guillows can continue to make quality products like this so that kids and adults in the future can step away from the electronic distractions in life and find enjoyment spending time working with their fingers and brains constructing flying models like this one.

Balsa models are fun and time consuming to build. You will need other materials to build it that are getting harder to find like dope and good glue but if you acquire the proper materials you will love this model airplane. It can fly too.

Great way to get hours of entertainment out of $11. I remember making balsa models as a kid and wanted to make another one so got this as a beginner kid and had great fun with it. It's refreshing to open up a box and find some simple balsa, tissue, plastic prop, a rubber band and some instructions and know you're going to make a plane out of it. Easy instructions and good design.
