I don't have anything bad to say about this replacement piece, it's every bit as good as the one originally on my old Cuisinart blender. If you want to spend the time/effort in fixing your blender as I did ours (multiple times), be my guest.
My complaint is with the low build quality of the Cuisanart blender. I replaced a number of items on ours over the years because it was so expensive and I couldn't bear the thought of just tossing it. However, don't be surprised, when you open up the Cuisanart to do the repair, to find out what a cheap piece of junk it is, under it's plastic casing.(and you do have to get in there to replace this part)
From my experience, you're better off buying a new blender at Costco or other retailer and tossing this one in the scrap pile. About the time this piece breaks/wears out is about when the motor starts losing power too...but that won't happen until after you've spent the time and money to fix it once again...ask me how I know.
