I use yellow pads religiously. I started out with the basic Staples brand, and quickly found that the cardboard backing was simply too flimsy for my uses. As a college student and a policy debater, these things are subjected to every type of abuse you can imagine-- thrown into backpacks, continual use, frantic scribbles, and tearing out large chunks of paper at once. Not to make it sound like I could fight off a bear with one of these, but they're very good quality. I've not seen a better set of notepads.

At just over a dollar for each one, they're worth the investment.

These are the only type of notepad I use. I sometimes come across some of the old, cheap notepads I used to use and feel bad for my previous self. It's an extra dollar for something that I spend at least 20 hours on per pad and the quality is 3x better.

Great price. Paper has a good quality feel to it. One of my pet peeves when it comes to these pads is cheap perforations that don't tear clean. These are excellent and sheets always separate very clean. If looking for a good, reasonably priced legal pad, look no further.

These pads are perfect for what we were needing them for (construction business, general field use, meeting notes.) They are well constructed pads, not cheap like similar pads where the paper just comes off accidentally or with the slightest pressure, but also not where you have to yank hard and risk tearing. I like the color of the paper too.

I ordered these pass for the first time and was really impressed. However the second order contained pads which were visibly darker in color than the one I had received before. Not sure if this is temporary or a permanent change, so I was a bit disappointed. The lighter one ( see bottom one in the image) looks better when compared to the one on top.
