Great idea. Well made product. One "little" problem. If your head is a little larger than average, the magnet will not secure the two halves together. A thick head of hair will have the same result. Most unfortunate.
UPDATE: I've now discovered that the sides do telescope out to accomadate larger sizes. That's more like it. Why they don't advertise that up front is beyond me. It does seem a little obvious now (duh), but I was actually trying to stretch the plastic when the metal front section suddenly slid forward from the plastic back part. Geez. I'm going to buy more of them now. They're great. Make those 3 stars a 5 star rating!

I really like these glasses...they are easy to find since they hang around your neck and they look good doing it! With that said...here are the Cons...

Since I'm 6'3" 260 LBs...I would venture to say my head and temple are maybe slightly larger than the average size ...but not by much! So MEN...if you're wondering what size to purchase - I HIGHLY recommend you get these XXL! They are adjustable and MUCH more comfortable. Note* - I bought and tried the regular size...and they did indeed fit my face...but snugly; so, I had to ship them back for a refund and order the XXL...I did this using the immediate refund feature in Amazon which is excellent.

My advice - do not get RED...I thought it would be easier to find them...but they are REALLY UGLY! LOL! So don't! Just get the BLACK XXL!

Lastly...although I love the glasses...I really dont feel they are worth $32.00...I think $20.00 is a fair price.

I've reached the age where my arms are getting shorter when I try to read. I have several pairs of OTC reading glasses scattered throughout the house that I can never find when I need them. So this product sounded like just the thing, letting me wear my glasses around my neck without buying a chain and look trendy at the same time.

Alas, it sounded like a great idea but wasn't. So far I have been unable to properly adjust the frames where they don't ride up when I wear them. If I wear them over the ears as intended, my hair weighs them down in the back, causing their refusal to rest on my nose. The only way I can get them to work is if I wear them over my ears and hair, which makes me look like a doofus.

This problem would probably be solved if I got myself a really short haircut. But I don't think I'll be changing my hairstyle just so I can wear these glasses.

Does Amazon sell neck chains for glasses?

Love the glasses - I had cataract surgery on both eyes and had both of my natural lenses replaced with artificial lenses. Both artificial lenses were for distance so I will need reading glasses the rest of my life. I'm also disabled and don't get around very well and often found myself leaving my glasses behind in another room, requiring another trip to go back and get them. So to have these hanging around my neck all the time is a godsend. I would never do that with my prescription glasses because they were too heavy and uncomfortable. These are so light that I constantly have to check to make sure I remembered to put them back on after changing shirts, etc. I bought the "long" version which allows you to lengthen or shorten the temples by sliding the stems in or out of the neck strap and securing the location using a small set screw on each side to anchor them once their adjusted. I bought this version after reading many reviews saying the non adjustable versions only fit people with real small heads. My hat size is 7½ but found these fit me best without any lengthening and could/should have bought the non adjustable version, which I will when I order my next pair and, oh yes, I will be ordering another pair, probably in different color or frame style just so I will be able to change looks when I want. They seem unbreakable. They use good materials and have excellent lenses. I only gave this style a 4 star rating because I had some trouble getting the set screw on one side to stay set. Finally was able to tighten it enough and it has been holding for quite a while now. You will get a lot of comments from people when they see them hanging around your neck like " hey, do you know you're glasses are broken?Read more ›

The clic readers I recently purchased are absolutely wonderful. It beats looking for the pair I put down a minute ago and the strength is truer to form than those purchased at a store. I find it hard to understand why stores don't carry these as they would be a top selling item. We own a business and keep the glasses on at all times. It is unbelieveable how many of our customers are impressed with the idea of front secured glasses and ask where we got them. We are happy to tell them they were purchased at Amazon.com. Thanks for carrying these useful and unusual glasses.

I bought a pair of the blue framed Clic glasses in January of '06. They exceeded my expectations. In fact, they basically replaced my regular glasses, because they just seemed, at 1.50, to meet both my reading and distance vision needs. I found them immediately comfortable, and easy to adjust. They are easy to pull apart and hang around your neck, ready to go when you need them. I "Clic" them open, hang them around my neck, and click them closed again, rather than swiveling the lenses down as shown in the display images (I just don't understand the point of that.) However, I did not find them to be perfect.

Even without having to reposition the lenses, moving them from neck to head is not a single handed operation, so, impractical in situations such as driving. As someone already pointed out, they aren't great when you rest your head on a pillow, or airline headrest, because the rigid construction causes them to be pushed forward from your face. In close work, or in tight spaces, I find that sometimes something will touch the frame from the side and the magnets will let go - so that I have to reseat them together again using both hands. A minor inconvenience, but potentially frustrating.

Most unexpectedly, mine have changed color. In only six months, they have changed mostly from blue to purple, and seem to be on their way to a dark shade of lavender. It started at the thinest points, which actually gave the frames an interesting liquid appearance, but as the change progressed, the entire frames have lost their true-blue vibrancy. They still look interesting, but they're not the same color they were six months ago.

I have to say that I get more compliments on these glasses than I have on any other I've worn (and I have another very cool frame set).
