Save your money, look for an alternative :(

We were thinking about buying this (Camco 22703) on Amazon for our RV, found it for a better price on clearance at a local retailer. No matter, our experiences have been in line with the other reviews: save your money. Any flexing causes water to leak or spray from the brass connector body. We've tried tightening it on the faucet, using a new garden hose washer, even plumbers tape on the threads, the leaking continued. It is like they used cheap, poorly engineered knock-off parts. Not the quality we've come to expect from Camco :(

Not affecting our review rating, but worth noting for anyone (like us) using 3/4" hose for RV water hook ups, this is a 1/2" ID hose. You'd think Camco would produce both sizes since they make/sell both sizes of drinking water hose. Or only make it in 3/4" to cover both bases...

Ultimately, the RV Flexible Hose Protector is one of Camco's rare duds.

This product is truly the epitome of “you get what you pay for.” We attach it to the spray nozzle since we require rinsing with water in all directions and we needed to find a tool to stop the kinks around the spray nozzle.

While it works to avoid the hose kinks around the nozzle, it looks and feels cheap. The stamped brass couplings are extremely thin - maybe only a few microns and unbelievably, both couplings punctured in 2 locations making the product useless.

Given its diminutive cost, Amazon offered an immediate credit and did not request the product return.

Not for long term use, starts dripping

We used this to connect our irrigation system to the garden faucet as the faucet is in front of the door and without something with an angle would block the door. First this seemed a great piece but after two month it started dripping quite some - which defies the reason for using a drip irrigation to safe water.

LEAKS!

These things are garbage. While they do no kink, I have yet to get one that doesn't leak. When I connect water hoses, call me crazy, but I don't want the things to leak. I don't want the water everywhere and I just want it to work. Water has leaked on all three of these that I've purchased from the female end from around the brass. I've replaced with several different washers and it still leaks. Cameo makes some nice products and some not so nice. These fall in the not so nice category.

Really a good idea

I have found this product to be a great solution to a kinked hose. For reasons unknown to me my hose would kink right where it connects to my RV. In 12yrs. This happened 3 times resulting in having to buy a new hose or cutting it off and using a water hose repair kit. This item is countered and the hose can't be kinked. I highly recommend this product and the company that distributes it. I have purchased several products from Camco and I've never had a problem with any of them.

I am using this to build a "Y" connection to my RV flush and water supply that can be valved off to go to either one without disconnecting and switching to flush the black water tank. Works very well! I had to purchase another one to use in this "Y" connection. It is very well made and did not leak on the first use.

some RV parks have water connections low to the ground. with an inline water filter and water pressure regulator sometimes relief on these fittings is needed to get the water installed. This item has done the job for about 3-4 months then starts leaking at the female connection. I'll not be buying another replacement and look at alternates to my dilemma
