Outside Diameter: 0.254 Verified Purchase
I bought 6 of these gages individually to determine the size of locking shoulder I need for an FAL rifle. I bought a Vulcan Arms Locking Shoulder Sizing Rod, but it only goes down to .255". FALs built with DS Arms receivers seem to be notorious for requiring much smaller locking shoulders, and my FAL is one of them.

So, I bought every other size from .254" to .244", so I could cover what the sizing rod couldn't.

Honestly, even without a case to put them in, I prefer these gages to the VA Sizing Rod. With the sizing rod, the measurements of each different section aren't marked, so, unless you have each of them memorized, you have to check the size with a micrometer or dial caliper.

My only gripes are:
- there was no way for me to buy 5, 10, 20, or 25 of them in a set (and possibly save some money).
- I don't have a case for them.

Still, those issues are more to do with my needs than what these gages are normally used for. A quantity buy option, short of buying the whole set, would be nice, though.

I *do* like that the sizes are clearly marked on each of the gages, but I imagine that that's to be expected.
