This battery was purchased as a total replacement battery pack in a Wildgame Innovations (WGI) 1.3 MP strobe Game Camera under the Timberview brand name. See my review of that camera. This game cam used 4 "C" cell batteries. At best the batteries would last 6 weeks. After buying several packages of "C" cells, it was time to trim our battery cost.

The battery was quite a bit smaller than I expected. Out-of-the-box, this battery was charged (6.34 volts), but we topped it off before the battery was placed into service (7.30 volts). Furthermore, given the reserve capacity rating of this battery in comparison to the reserve capacity of an Alkaline "C" cell battery, we should get far more use time out of this battery. How much more? That can only be evaluated at a later date. As a side note -- WGI newest deer cam models have the capability of connecting a 6 volt battery pack, such as Amazons Wild Game Innovations External 6V Battery Pack. WGI uses a pair of batteries of comparable specifications to the UPG UB645 inside their battery pack.

I will update this posting as we monitor this battery's performance in the field. Preliminarily (2 days use), this battery is performing as expected.

The application this battery is now being used in, the size, being completely sealed from the elements and the current price, we are hard pressed to find fault with this purchase.

I purchased this battery as a replacement for a Peg Perego Thomas the Train Ride along Engine. Merely take the green top off the old battery, slap the green top on this new battery and you are good to go. Peg Perego batteries are around 4 times the price. Save yourself some $ and get a generic battery that operates at the same efficiency.

This is an exact replacement for a high-intensity light I have, where the original battery would no longer hold a charge for very long. This "new" battery is far worse than the original. Even with a full charge it only powers the light briefly with a very dim output. Even after a full charge, it is dead the next time you try to use it. My original / old battery still works better than this new one, but only for a few minutes. So, I know the light itself is fine. This "new" battery must either be defective or very old stock. Foolish me didn't realize this until it was too late to apply for a refund. I trust Amazon would have done so otherwise.

I bought an emergency power fail light at a big box store several years ago. Recently it quit working and I traced the problem to the battery. It was a small 6V lead acid, so instead of spending $30 for a new light I bought this battery for $10 from Amazon. With the points from my Amazon Visa card it was free! The new one fit perfectly and the light works again. My home will have light when the power fails thanks to Amazon!

Replaces our battery system for a well built solar powered security light. The light is well built but the power supply was not thought out well. It had 5 rechargeable AA batteries as sold. The popular home hardware store didn't even stock replacement batteries. My husband grafted this battery onto the light and it works better than as sold by the store! It charges well from the units solar panel. Great Battery!

I'm a photographer who uses off camera flash. If you're a Strobist, you know what I'm talking about. My strobes are normally powered by 4 AA cells (6V). My rechargeable NiMH batts work ok, but the recycle time is slow. This SLA battery gives me a recycle time of 3 seconds after a full power flash. It also has twice the mA hours of my NiMH cells. I used wooden dowels to make 2 dummy batteries (1 for pos and 1 for neg). A wire is screwed to the end of each dummy. The other ends of the wires are connected to the battery terminals of the SLA. The dummies go in the battery compartment of the flash, and the SLA is strapped to the bottom of the light stand.

WARNING:

If you try this, you could overheat your strobe and ruin it. The voltage is the same, but the SLA can put out more current than the AA cells (hence faster shooting). Give your strobe time to cool off between bursts of full power shots. I checked the current with a multimeter. After a full power flash, my Nikon SB600 drew 10 amps from the SLA for about a half a second.
