When this first came out I bought it on cassette. Stupendous, masterful I played it so much I wore it out. Years past I waited and waited for them to reisssue it on CD. Waited patiently for what seemed like eons. When it was reissued last year, I purchased a copy thru amazon and sat down to relisten to this gem. Tears formed in my eyes. Grateful tears, happy, blissful tears. This masterpiece sounds better today than it did 20 years ago. I have been a Patrick Moraz fan for nearly 35 years. This recording is a testimony to his brilliance, his genius, his charisma. I highly recommend "Human Interface". Style and substance personified.

This is electronic symphonic music at it's best. This is not like listening to Kraftwerk - entirely. Moraz has an ear for electronica and proves it from the opening cut - Light Elements. For anyone who enjoys good keyboard/synthesizer compositions. Reminiscent of the ethereal work that Moraz did while playing with the Moody Blues, esp. Long Distance Voyager 1981 and The Present 1983.

I had this on cassette tape when it came out but I eventually liquidated my entire cassette collection and it was lost. Out of the few PM titles I had on tape back then, this one stood out for me and I remembered it fondly. When I realized it had been re-mastered on CD and was now out-of-print, I HAD TO GET A COPY! Glad I did.

It has stood up fairly well over the years and doesn't come off as extremely dated, like some other 80s keyboard music titles. The most dated thing on here is the drum sounds/programming but I can live with that considering when it was recorded - not bad for the time and it was done tastefully and creatively (and I'm a picky drummer who used to hate electronic drums). The album also isn't droning and overly meditative, which is a BIG plus for me. This is a great representation - although, not the best - of Patrick Moraz and should be in any fans collection. Great compositions and some creative use of cutting edge keyboard technology (for the late eighties)! I liken some of the keyboard sounds and programs to what Wendy Carlos was doing at this time in the late eighties - "Digital Moonscapes". This album is a good mix of classical tinged comps with a nice crossover to pop.

Some tunes stand up well on their own but for me, this album stands up better as a complete work from beginning to end. The two newer supplemental re-mixes are interesting but not quite worth the price of admission if you already own this (in my opinion). However, the remastering is fantastic! So if you have an older copy, keep it but buy the remastered CD also. You'll be glad to have the extra copy with an outstanding mastering. Altogether an enjoyable and classic PM album and worth another listen! The only thing that could be better would be a heavy vinyl pressing.
