Even for $12 this lens is of very poor quality. Straight lines become wavy under magnification, and you don't have to look closely to see finishing marks in the lens material. It might be ok for reading, but magnification across the lens area is inconsistent enough to make it useless for more detailed work.

This magnifier - of a Jumbo Lens size -is lightweight. Without packaging, it weighs about 175 gramm, which is about 0.386 pound. For a magnifier of this lens' size, even with plastic lens, this is a low weight, I beleive. This magnifier has wide field of view, and it feels convenient in hand. Still, I returned it: I would like to have a magnifier with a higher quality of lens. I tried recently another magnifier of a Jumbo size, by Lightwedge. That one was heavier, about 220 gramm (about 0.485 pound). I had these two magnifiers in my possession - at different times, so I could not compare them directly, but it seems to me that I liked the lens of that magnifier a little better. These both are not expensive magnifiers, and maybe to have a magnifier with a better lens quality, one should spend more money. (The Donegan BR-305, also of a Jumbo Lens size, has an excellent lens. That magnifier has lens made of glass, and the weight of that magnifier is about 434 gramm, which is about 0.957 pound. That is too heavy for normal use - for me.) This one, Donegan C-605, I value at 2.5 stars; 3 stars is an approximation.) Pacific.

I would rate it at 2.5 stars. It is indeed lightweight, about 118 gramm, which is about 0.26 pound (without packaging). The lens is indeed 4 inch in diameter. Otherwise, in my opinion, nothing exceptional. I returned it. Pacific.
