    I bought this pirate hat for an 8-year old boy with a head too big for children's costumes. It was PERFECT! The hat is constructed with a wire frame around the edge where the gold trim is in the picture. The rest of the hat is unstructured and the fabric gives a little. With the red tie, it fits a lot of different sized heads. All the members of the family took turns trying it on. And it packs flat!

    This is a great hat - to be worn anywhere for anytime fun. Grandson loves it and has had it for over a year now. It has withstood all his playfulness with it and continues to be one of his favorites. He was only 5 at the time of purchase. Great hat!
