These are wide, which seems perfect to keep your strap on. However, they are very shallow, so my strap kept popping off the button when I installed these on my SG. I'm sorry to say I cannot recommend them. They aren't very attractive, either. Not that people are staring at my strap buttons, but they really do look out of place.

Nothing not to like about these. I will preface to say that I bought these to add a strap to my toddlers 1/2 size guitar. For the price they are perfect. I don't know that I would drill holes into my Martin myself anyway, but I think these would probably be just fine if I did. Hope that helps.

I've been playing guitars for abou 40 years and never had to tie theend of the strap to the head of the guitar. But, my most recent guitar purchase did not have the strap button on it. The end pin eliminated that requirement and thus enables me to fasten my strap to the "body" which keeps the guitar from sliding down as I play. Would highly recommend it anyone.

The hardware is a bit beefier than standard strap buttons. The screws are thicker as well. You may not want to use this if you have a vintage and/or collectible instrument since these screws will enlarge the opening in the wood and make it awkward to reverse this mod. If you don't care about all that and just want some sturdier hardware, by all means go for it!

I thought "holy cow!" when I got them. They're a little bigger than the ones I used on a previous guitar, and I ended up using some shorter screws than the ones included as I used one of them on an accoustic guitar. Next time I buy something like this I'll probably get them at a store so I can see them in person first.

These end pins are good quality, and work great. Note: putting that one little screw into your new guitar will probably void your warranty, so double check before you do it.
