My dog, a 6 year old heeler, loves this toy. That being said, I felt they fell far short of how "Tuff" they claim to be, as my dog had a hole in the ring and all the stuffing out within 20 minutes of recieving it. Buy, he still enjoys the toy even after the stuffing has been removed, and frequently uses the remainder to play tug-of-war.

My Golden Retriever destroyed this toy on Christmas. Tore up one quarter of it, pulled out the stuffing and a squeaker in 5 minutes. Went back and got the other side the next day. Hate paying good money for "tuff" toys I know he will destroy, but how much rubberized/kong extreme toys can a dog chew on? So I keep trying these canvas "Ultimate" tough toys hoping one will finally be a challenge that lasts longer than minutes. Not this one!

Our pup tore the heck out of this! It actually held up better than a lot of the chew toys we've been getting him. It took him about a half hour to get the first squeaker out. Then he systematically went after the rest. We finally threw out the resultant rag and gave him a new one.

Our dogs live to play with these rings. We buy one for in the house and one for outside that also goes into the pool. One of our dogs jumps and dives into the pool and we use this toy for that. This is a repeat buy toy. We replace the outside one every 6 months. Inside one lasts longer but we will keep these on hand always!

I have tried just about every brand of toy on the market. Although these don't last too long in our house the dog seems to enjoy them. I purchase them as a treat to give them to our dog to break up the boredom. She likes to chew on hard toys some days and on other days she enjoys trying to tear things up. She is a lab mix that is a medium build. She destroys all rubber and cloth aggressive chewer toys on the market. My mother has a dachshund who loves these and drags it all over the house.

I have a 50lb black lab and the Tuffy toys are the absolute best! Abby is a big chewer and has a tendency to tear through toys extremely quickly (she has been known to chew through a rope in about 15 minutes). We have bought several of the Tuffy Ultimate toys and they all have lasted her at least 6 weeks - a very long time for her! She absolutely loves them all. This ring is her favorite. She carries it everywhere and gets really mopy when she tears through it and we have to take it away. Buying from amazon is definitely the way to go too - almost half the price of buying them at our local pet store.

Our 10m old puppy got this for Christmas at 4 months old. It's still going. She has destroyed just about every other toy (she even chewed the handle off a jolly ball!) but she's been unable to break through this one. She likes looking for the squeaker, and often finds it stuck on her nose (which makes us all laugh).

My dog has torn up every "firehose" quality toy I buy (including the lobster and octopus). This ring is indestructible. It is by far the favorite chase toy because I throw it overhand vertically to roll along the ground as far as possible. The dog runs after it like a greyhound at the track, trying to catch it before it stops rolling. It has numerous squeakers in it so the dog always has a reward for catching it. Great workout for the dog.
