To celebrate the animated film from Disney/ Pixar studios, "The Incredibles" which opened in movie theaters on November 5, 2004, Disney released seven commemorative special Opening Day pins each at a separate Disney location; Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Disney-MGM Studios, New York City World of Disney Store, and Disney Cruise Line ships. The pins in the collection include each of the main characters of the crime fighting Parr family (The Incredibles) and their superhero friend Lucius Best ("Frozone") on a design element representing the particular Disney theme park or location. This pin features Helen Parr (Mrs. Incredible who used to be the superhero "Elastigirl" before she married Mr. Incredible) in her red superhero costume demonstrating her superpower, appropriately elasticity, by stretching around the Sorcerer's Hat of navy blue with yellow ears and stars. The words "Walt Disney World" in white surrounded by silver appear at the base of the hat. "Opening Day 2004" appears in orange and is raised to produce a 3D "pin on pin" effect. The Incredibles yellow letter "I" insignia is dangling from her hand. This type of pin is commonly referred to as a "dangle pin" because of this design feature. The pin is made of painted hard enamel on base metal, and is mounted on the official Disney Mickey Mouse Ear backing display which is black velveteen material on a black plastic card. The front of the display card reads "Limited Edition" at the bottom and has the Disney "Pin Trading Around the World" Mickey Mouse Head Logo at the top, in silver print. The pin itself is attached to the backing display card with a black rubber Mickey Mouse ear clutch, which is also used to wear the pin if desired. The back of the pin reads "Limited Edition of 3000 (c) Disney/ Pixar" together with "Disney Pin Trading 2004" in Mickey Mouse Head Logo and "Disney presents a Pixar film".
