Some say it's quiet, some say it's loud. Really, that's a personal thing. I used a Flip Video Mino Series Camcorder, 60 Minutes (Black) to record both my PC and the Entree Air fan, so you can hear for yourself the noise levels. My wife says it's a calming noise, and I just care that the rest of the house is warm.

The only annoying thing I found was that the cord comes out the bottom. So if you are at the heat source, looking towards a door, and the fan is on the right side, it'll stick out weird.

I purchased two of these fans. After 2-3 weeks both began to rattle then the cheap plastic fan blades disintegrated. Do not buy.

I use this fan for a very specific purpose: to dispel humidity from a small interior room (no windows). For that, it works fine. I found the noise level to be acceptable, as I use it in 30 minute bursts, not for hours on end.

Three years after purchase, it became quite noisy and wasn't moving much air. I assumed it was the motor getting cranky after the years of moisture. So I took it apart (it may be cheap, but at least they used real screws!). Turns out the motor was fine; it was the fan blades that were the problem. The fan blades are a single plastic unit that fit over the motor shaft. It's just a friction fit: nothing's really holding it on there. And I found that the plastic had a crack running right through the middle. The crack ran through the hole, so the fit was no longer tight, hence the noise and poor performance. It's a really dumb design, considering they didn't even need to add any extra parts to prevent the problem. Take a look at your microwave turntable motor to see what I mean.

Anyway, I happened to have some Bondic handy (also picked up from Amazon). Here's what I did, YMMV:

1) Unplug the cord and open the housing. Slide off the fan blades.
2) Apply the Bondic in a line over the crack, especially near the mounting hole.
3) While squeezing the crack together, hit it with the UV light to harden.
4) Fit the blades over the motor shaft. It should be tight-ish.
5) Fill the top of the mounting hole with a bit more Bondic. Slide the blades up and down so that some of the Bondic will seep down a bit (but not all the way to the motor)
6) Hit it with the UV light again to harden. The blades should now be affixed to the motor shaft.

Yeah, I know it's plastic and will eventually break again, but it's working like new for now. Or at least like when it was new for me; other reviewers complaining about noise may have unknowingly had cracked fan blades.

Easy installation is best I can say. Very loud and doesn't move the air well at all -- even in a small 2 room area. I'll use the simple oscillating model on the floor instead.

This fan fits great in the coner of a door frame and was very easy to install. It makes more noise than you would think and hardlly moves any air.

The fan moves a lot of air, but it's loud--combined with my pellet stove fan, it makes for a lot of ambient noise. Because of that, I run it only at night. Nevertheless, it gets the job done.

I purchased this product for the claims of being quiet and able to push at the 100 CFM rate warm air generated by fireplace, stove, let just say any source of heat into your bedroom.

I replaced my fireplace with a wood pellet stove insert the only problem was I needed to pull a draft of this heated air down to heat the other side of the house. Based on the claims of the product I thought this would do it. Well it does not, so my Kitchen, dining room, living room and 100% of the second floor gets heated and is nice & warm. But the other side of the house opposite the wood pellet stove stays cold.

The picture on the box does not do justice to the size. The picture makes it appear small and small its not; actually its big. Not necessarily a bad thing you would think.

The claim that is has enough to pull hot air into your bedroom, I found it to be untrue. I had this unit in a direct line with the output of the stove and even with that type of help it could not do it. All it did was push more cool air.

It claims to be quiet. Well, I guess quiet in this case could be a relative term. Everybody tolerates sound differently but if a product claims to be quiet, I want to barely here a humm for it. Well a humm is not what you here. You would think my pellet stove blower made a lot of noise and I would complain about that before this. In reality the stove's blower is quiet. The sound this thing had was a constant drone, like a "Grrrr"; actually more like a gas powered RC Airplane without the whine.

So in wraps, does it push air yes but not the heated air from your fireplace or stove. Is it quiet, really not that quiet.

Don't waste your money if you are looking to move even a decent amount of air from even a small area like my small closet. The only thing this thing "boosted" was the money from my wallet. Dont know how this is called a booster fan. Unless you wet your hand and put it in the air stream you wont feel much air lol.
