as soon as i opened the bag, that earthy/musty aroma let me know that these were going to be high quality seeds. after a quick wash i was ready for baking. oh boy, let me tell you, these are some serious seeds. blows Bob's Red Mill out of the water by at least two fold. i know amazon only sells the 50 lb bulk bag, but honeyvillegrain dot com offers a 12 oz bag as well as the 50 lb'er for a lot cheaper. have fun guys, safe baking

The package showed here WAS unwashed and very fresh and tasty. Then last year Tasmanian alkaloids started thoroughly washing their seeds. The bag now is a plain white one. Showing the old bag is trying to deceive buyers into thinking it is the old product. There were so many post by people taking about tea that they started washing the seeds. That is what happens when people post irresponsibly. Now no one sells true unwashed seeds, no one. Even Poppy Seed Tom now sells garbage. I know of one halfway descent source, but I will not say who.

First off they do not ship what is pictured. It arrived in a severely packed package that leaked over 25% of the product before it arrived. They did not smell fresh and lacked that nutty smell, very sad. To add insult to injury, the customer service was horrible, I was never happy and they didn't care. I am going back to my old supplier.
