This opener never worked properly. It was rough to use, often broke the corks halfway in the bottle - or didn't remove them at all. Then it broke entirely. Wine Enthusiast refused to replace, refund or exchange. Not recommended.

Legacy Wine opener was purchased as a gift for my husband's May 31st birthday - tonight, June 23, 2008 - less than one month later - it broke opening a bottle of wine. It does not have sufficient strength to open wine bottles. Approximately only a dozen bottles were opened before failure. Poor internal workmanship. I previously owned one of these from The Wine Enthusiast that worked for over 12 years. Very unhappy with this now broken and useless product!
