Very nice cards. My kid loves them. I like that they are large size and have photos as the depictions. I have purchased a different set before that had cartoon drawings and they were terrible..I couldn't tell what half the pictures were not to mention my 2 yr old. These pictures are nice and clear. The only negative that I can say is that a couple of the pictures are dated. I laughed when I saw the floppy disc and the old style television. Other than those 2 the rest are good. My kid is using them for now to learn words. There are a lot of good first words and troddler words. (He is 2 1/2) Later I think they will be helpful for learning to read and spell because of the written words on each card. If the company had more sets to add to the collection, I would definitely buy them.

I got these to help my toddler with speech at the suggestion of her Aunt who is a speech therapist. They have helped tremendously!! She picks up on new words and it really helps her learn to properly pronounce the words she already knows. I also love the fact that they use REAL pictures instead of silly illustrations.

The picture on here is accurate. On the front of the card is a picture and the word beside it. The word is also on the back so you can see what card you're holding without turning it over. If you look at the pictures on here it tells you what words come in the pack too which was very helpful. I would definitely buy these again as I haven't yet found a product that has actual pictures on the cards AND has a good variety of different words.

Other than the picture of the unrecognizable floppy disk, the old cathode-ray tube style television, and the cordless phone, all the picture cards are appropriate and great image quality. The card material itself is thin and easily bendable, so they won't last long with some toddlers rough play. Otherwise, good set for the money. Hope this review is helpful!

My son loves these! He's 22 months and knows all the cards already! He can't say the words but I can lay down about 5-6 cards and he can pick the card that I ask for. Great learning tool! My only downside is there a card that is now obsolete - the floppy disc which should get replaced with a thumb drive or a cell phone maybe.

Kind of disappointed in this set. There are so many cards but most of the pictures are outdated and my son would never be able to recognize more than half of this deck. A lot of in common animals, items and words. I wouldn't buy again.

Would have given it 5 stars for great idea on word only back and nice colorful pictures, but the cards were a bit thin almost transparent. Some actions pictures are out of date like old dial phones, and the fish cover cards from same company were better. I got this style of flash card mainly because it follows zoophonics approach to teaching words. My daughter can't read the words yet, but exposing her to words with pictures early does work. She was more familiar with a word a year after I had happened to have (for my sake) next to a drawn picture (for her recognition) on a box to describe content in it. She recognized that word more readily than other card words. So, early expose works, even if it's just a game of name that picture for now.
