These 10" Angeled Diagonal pliers by Stanley are really quite good. The 10" length provides great leverage which is handy if you are cutting heavy gauge wire or other tough material. The cutter jaws are smooth and sharp. The steel is a dark burnished black. The soft yellow handles provide a good grip.

Stanley tools have always been good quality. They are made in China which I guess brings down the cost a bit. But The steel is good. It seems that these days most tool manufacturers are importing from there. As long as you don't abuse the tool, it should last a long time.

Better than expected. They cleanly cut through a 1/4" stainless-steel cable. (I wrapped it tightly in a single layer of duct tape, then cut about halfway through, slightly relaxed my grip for a second, then finished the cut. The cable was cleanly cut straight across). I held the pliers to the sun to check for blade damage, and they were like new. I also bought the 6-3/8" diagonal with the same grips. Very good, too, for wire-ties and the like. The 10" pliers sure take a lot of effort out of cutting larger diameter wire.

Jaw alignment/grinding is not even close; it does not cut, it only bends items whether plastic cable ties or copper wire. This item is going back and will be replaced by my standby and USA produced Channellock product.
