The Kelty Kangaroo has a supportive adult harness for all day comfort. With a removable child's pouch, a sleeping child can be unclipped from the adult harness. The Kangaroo's adult suspension has a padded waistbelt that places the child's weight on your hips rather than your neck and shoulders. The suspension can be adjusted to fit adults from 4'11" to 6'8", with waist sizes from 26" to 60". The child can ride facing towards the parent or the soft foam head and back support can be folded down to allow the child to face forward. The stowable nursing privacy/sun/rain hood folds into its own zippered compartment. Up front, the Kangaroo features a detachable pouch with a 100 cu. in. storage capacity. The Kangaroo soft child carrier is machine washable and has a lifetime warranty.

Ok, with my first baby, I tried a Baby Bjorn carrier and an Evenflo front carrier and didn't like either one of them. Then a friend suggested that I try her Kelty Kangaroo, and I loved it. I bought my own right away and used it constantly for everything from hiking with the baby to just carrying her around the house, while I cleaned. It easily adjusts for baby, as it velcro fits like a diaper. Newborns face in and older babies can face out and look at the world around them. And it is open between baby and Mommy, so that baby can nurse discreetly on the go (although I preferred to take my baby out for nursing). Harness slips over Mommy's shoulders and baby clips onto it. It connects to Mom in two different places, under the shoulders and around the hips like a hiking pack in reverse, and all straps cinch down to fit Mom and baby, so it feels and *is* very secure. Straps are comfortable and the neck support for newborn baby is awesome (and same neck support folds down for older babies to see over). I'm expecting again, and this carrier is ready and waiting for our new one to arrive. Love this and would highly recommend it to anyone!

This did not work very well for me, it did not accomodate a small baby that well, and by the time it did it didn't feel supportive enough considering the heavier baby. By that time I was ready to find a back carrier instead that wouldn't pull my shoulders forward.
