We have these in our first aid kits at work and at home. These let you pry splinters out, rather than pulling or breaking them. They are easy to use; employees prefer them over tweezers claiming that these let you see what your digging out. Our teens use them for popping zits; they say that these are much more comfortable than a needle. I have used them to get wood & metal splinters out of our dog's paw with a gentle prying action.

I manage a swim and tennis club and these are the best for getting out the many splinters that kids get there. I highly recommend them especially for public places since they are each individually wrapped and you don't have to worry about breaking someone's skin with something that has been used before!
