Got a couple of these mugs last year and they worked great! Kept my drink nice and cold, just as advertised.

But.

After a month of occasional use ( maybe two times a week during summer ) the first mug cracked. The final mug gave up the ghost as I poured an already refrigerated beverage into it last month. I wasn't abusing these mugs by any means, hand-washing and generally following care instructions, and neither mug was subjected to extreme temperature change when they cracked.

We have had this type of cup before and know not to put them in a dishwasher and freeze them upside down. However within the first week this cup split down the side, rendering it no good. I will not be buying this brand of cup again. Amazon did refund NY money in a timely manner.

This is a great buy. We've had multiple Crystal Freezer Mugs and they are great quality & work great keeping beverages cold without diluting them with ice. We dropped one of them several times without breaking. However, when it did finally break, we had to replace it! We keep a couple of them in the freezer and use them frequently!

I had an OU mug in the past but I ended up having it stolen by an ex-roommate during a move. I wanted to get another one. The gel inside seems a little lighter than my original mug where it seemed full. Still, this is my new cup of choice for just about everything and it freezes just fine. Not sure if it's dishwasher safe. Didn't see any directions on that so I've just been handwashing it which works!

Beautiful mugs, they feel solid and seem quite well made, but they don't do well if left in the freezer for too long. I bought two mugs and the base came off of one after about two weeks of overnight freezing and most of the gel crystals fell out. We have kept the second mug stored only in the refrigerator all of the time and so far that seems to be working out better, the refrigerated mug still keeps a drink chilled for an hour or two and seems to be holding up fine after more than a month of daily use.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT, since the instructions clearly state to freeze for one hour and I tried keeping it stored in the freezer overnight so it would be frozen for use first thing in the morning, so this is MY FAULT for not following the instructions.
