I love these bags. They are sturdy and gets the job done, however for the price that is listed on Amazon? you can def. get it cheaper if you shop around. If you have a Michael's arts and crafts store around, you can go on their website and print out a coupon that allows you to save up to 25% or in my case, 40% off the product! got to the store and grab it and go. I got these for a steal...great product overall, but Amazon really isn't listing a bargain price on these...

I am not advertising for Michael's however I would just like to share with people so you can get the same product and amount for a lot cheaper.
who doesn't want to save money???

These are sturdy and convenient. I do prefer Wilton's reusable poly bags for a softer feel when doing detail work, but these disposable bags make cleanup a breeze. I especially like to use them when working with melted chocolate (though you can melt a hole in the bag in the microwave if not careful). You can let the unused chocolate re-harden in the bags, and then 'nuke' them to re-melt. I also found the disposable pastry bags useful when I took cupcakes to a party -- I carried the icing separately, right in the pastry bags so nothing got smooshed in transit. With a large, "closed-star" tip, I iced 36 cupcakes in minutes.

You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. After 30 years of using Wilton's washable decorating bags, I treated myself to the disposable ones. I LOVE them! Clean-up time is reduced as you simply remove the coupler and tip, throwing away the bag itself. Other than Wilton inventing disposable couplers and tips, there just isn't anything easier to use.

Here are some points to consider:
* Quick clean-up
* Refrigerate remaining frosting in bag
* Warm-up is faster (in your hand) than the washable bags
* More expensive than the washable bags, but so very convenient
* Royal icing can also be stored in the bags and placed into plastic storage bags in the refrigerator or freezer (they really won't dry-out)
* Size matters. The 12-inch bags are great for decorating. The 16-inch bags hold enough frosting for filling cake layers and piping enough to cover a small cake.

If you find it difficult to fill the bag, you may want to try these methods. Once you've cut the opening for the coupler and assembled it with the tip, turn down the top of the bag. Make it a very deep cuff. This provides the widest possible opening without the icing sticking to the bag on its way down to the tip. Use your offset spatula to place some icing into the bag. Once you've filled it to that point, roll the cuff up (little by little) and put in more icing. The second method is to place the bag (tip facing down) into a tall drinking glass. Roll the cuff over the top of the glass and fill the bag (as explained above).

Baking and decorating are fun. These disposable bags make it even better.

The 12" bag will hold up to 8" of icing unless you buy clamps to seal them. For some odd reason I thought they were a little bigger. I am satisfied because for decoration the bags are perfect, but if you are looking for bags for piping cakes the 12" is too little, the 16" or 18" will work a lot better... That's what I'm doing right now.

Normally I shop at [...] but when your trying to save money its good to look at all of your options and was definitentally a saver :D I got a wilton product that I use quite often at a cheaper price than the retailer's website. I love these things b/c you just use them once and then dispose of them (so convient for those who do a lot of baking it cuts down on the clean up time and allows you more time to enjoy your work and your guest).
This is only the bags though the tips are sold seperatelly, which are also a good buy.

BOTTOM LINE
I like that I can buy a hundred of these in a pack, and never worry about running out. The bags seem well made and are usable, but I wish they were wider at the top, so I can fill them more easily.

DURABILITY
I think the bags themselves, are made of a good, medium-thick material that means they won't rip or stretch easily when used with tips or with frosting with solids in it.

DISPOSABLE-NESS (because "DISPOSABILITY" is not a word)
Nothing makes clean up easier, than simply throwing these things out.

PRICE
The price is simply GREAT. Regular decorating bags, or smaller packs, can be so expensive. I think of this as an investment, and, since I don't decorate professionally, I am happy to just have this pack around always.

SIZE
I think the length of the bags is fine. However, I wish they were wider, and easier to fill with frosting. I find it hard to fill by myself, but maybe I just need more practice.

this are so high quality. i even found myself reusing these disposable bags! if you are going to be frosting a whole lot, i would opt for the larger bags. but these are great for small piping, it worked well with my deviled eggs, but had to keep refilling for my 24 cupcakes.
