I just saw the movie 20 min. ago and lets just say its tres tres tres fab! the soundtrack had me almost out of my seat and my friends looking at me like i was a loon- its ok to dance to Sabbath's Iron Man and Foghat trust me

and although the only Pink Floyd song *was* covered we can for give the band b/c at least it was well done(ish) and it wasn't some *My Chemical Romance*-type-band (*gag*) b/c lets be honest here- it wouldnt be a movie of the 70s without Pink Floyd...

And finally:

I don't think i'll ever listen to our dear Jimi Hendrix's Fire the same way again (in a good way)

however, being in high school, I know it will be harder to get the younger types to warm up to the movie and its soundtrack which is unfortunate as they will be missing out-

don't buy the next crap Yellowcard or (god forbid) A Perfect Circle - buy this album for a nice sampler of REAL rock n' roll and move onwards and upwards from there

oh yes and this is my dad's amazon so its not some weird old guy- i'm Penny Lane *you know you love me!*

Absolutely spectacular soundtrack for a surprisingly overlooked movie. All the great varieties of Seventies rock are here, punk rock, surf rock, glam rock, heavy metal -- this collection ought to be worth hundreds of dollars but I paid about 39 cents for my copy, not counting shipping and handling.

I saw this movie when it came out and I loved the sound track but I didn't want to get all those songs , so I waited to see if a sound track album would come out but then one night it popped up on Amazon digital music for a good price so I got it and I am so happy with this purchase.

I saw this movie on Sunday, and went straight out to buy the cd afterwards. I'd heard good things about the music before the movie came out, and liked the sountrack of "Z Boys". I'd recommend this to anyone that likes/listens to classic rock. Every song brought back an image of a scene from the film, and of my own personal memories. A must have if you liked the movie!

This is a wonderful stroll down memory lane for any rock enthusiasts who have reached the stellar age of 50, or are plus or minus a few years. Every song dropped me back into my youth and into some hormone-fueled state from my teens -- wonderful stuff if you like to relive those years!

GREAT SOUNDTRACK to my life in the 70's growing up in the movement! Still have my original Dogtown Skates and Alva boards (Gull Wings, Tracker Trucks, Kryptonics etc)... What a trip down memory lane!
If you understand and appreciate the movie then this music is for you. Like opening a new copy of Skateboarder magazine!!

I found my way to this soundtrack because the difficult to find 20th Century Boy by T. Rex is on it but nearly every track is a classic. Space Truckin' and Motor City Madman are not found on some greatest hits compilations for Deep Purple and the Nuge, respectively but here they are. Iconic tracks Iron Man, Suffragette City, and Fire along with some garage rock classics like I Just Wanna Make Love for You round it out. The last track, a remake of a Pink Floyd, is OK but doesn't fit well with the hard rocking classics that fill the rest of the cd. Still, no complaints. This is the best all around soundtrack for hard rocking classics that I have seen. It has been in my cd player for the last week and I am still loving it.

I have no clue about the "history" of skateboarding and will learn more after this movie.I've always enjoyed watching surfing and skateboarding..it does take allot to stand atop a piece of whatever and it's all physics that you remain there...BUT add to it some crazy kids, allot of fun and you have a wonderful way to take a kid and let him have fun and TALENT!...there's so little of this in our society today..a computer or gaming is not even a close second choice....Heath is always amazing and he does it again in this movie..the boys/guys in the movie are also great...the MUSIC adds to the entire movie...this is NOT taken from a MARVEL COMIC BOOK...you getting your A** out there and proving that you are good...
