holy s*** :-) was worried I'd need to I add a subwoofer nope. Its a beast. I have them in a pair of 2.3 cu-ft transmission line boxes tuned to 66-70hz the response is incredible, with a good amp this makes a hell of a setup

I'm using them as full range drivers with the eminence asd 1001 tweaters. They are being driven by a marantz pm5004.

maybe a Mustang 1 user will read this here. I bought a Eminence Delta 10A 10" PA speaker to replace the 8" factory speaker in my Fender Mustang 1. I think the guitar amplifier is great for it's (intended purpose). It's a practice amp. I played it in a 7' x 8' room turned up to 3 & it sounded really good to my ears in this small confined space. However in 2 larger spaces 15' x 18' & 20' x 30' mostly open room it didn't. And the louder U turn it up the worse it sounds. Then once tried it outside it really sounded like doggy do. I bought this Delta 10A 10" sold as used w/ small cosmetic flaw (which I couldn't find) for $50. Looked brand new. Best $50 I ever spent.
I kept it simple on the advice of another Amazon customer review I'd read under Mustang 1. (note: not found under v2 reviews) I just opened up the back & put it in the same 8"speaker hole without taking off the grill cloth & making the hole bigger. I'm sure there's some sound lost. I also drilled an 1 3/4" hole in the back as he had suggested. So perhaps someday I will experiment with a more open back design & open up the speaker hole in front but, for now I am very pleased.
note: After removing the 11 screws off the back I still had to really dig my screwdriver in & pry really hard to get the back off. I was about to the point of giving up after tearing the outer fabric and it not budging. It was not only a tight fit but also had dabs of glue at several screw holes. So keep this in mind if U go for it.
I turned it up to 6 or 7 & the distortion sounded like a big amp. I turned it up to 10 only trying a clean finger picking style & sounded great, still clean & clear. I didn't want the neighbor to call the cops so that is as far as I have tested it. Now I back in the small room playing it at a more comfortable vol. 1 I will edit & add more if make those changes or I have the chance to play it really loud. = 5 to 10 Holy smokes it hurts my ears that loud.

This thing rocks! It puts out solid, tight bass. I purchased it to replace a faulty GK speaker in a Neo 115 cabinet, and the speaker/cabinet combination is working out great for me. I might have been persuaded to replace the GK speaker with an identical one (for more than twice this price, and it was out of stock!), but I'm glad now that I didn't. Despite a noticeable weight difference (this is NOT a neodymium speaker) I've been nothing but pleased. It's been seeing weekend use for about six months now and sounds better all the time.

I was really worried about purchasing an after market replacement speaker. I needed a speaker that could handle high power and still give me a full rounded sound through the mids and lows . I looked at several speakers and this was one of the cheaper ones. Upon opening the speaker my first concerns was if it would line up or if I would have to modify it to fit in my cabinet. It fit perfectly. It was snug and tight and no problems whatsoever with the installation. Now it was time to get it wired to the system and test it out. This speaker really packs a punch. I was surprised at the quality and richness of the sound. For a speaker that did not break the bank this speaker is excellent. From now on I know where to go for a great sounding speaker. The best part was no matter how much power I added the speaker still sounded great. Well done!

Love 'em, esp. for the price. Wish the frequency response went lower. Use them every day and give them lots of power, haven't blown one yet. Can't say that for my stock Eden speakers (that are, or used to be anyway, made by Eminence) Spent a fortune on re coning till I started using these.

I had a blown speaker in my GK 1001RB 2x10 combo. Replaced them both with the Delta 10's. They fit right in and sound amazing. Turned up the volume and they seem to be able to handle the power very well.Very punchy. I recommend using them with a 15" cabinet as well. That'll really fatten out the sound. Not that it matters but I also love the blue tint on them too. For the price these can't be beat! And made in America. Always a good thing!

I needed a speaker with high power handling and subdued mids for my Peavey Stereo Chorus 212 combo, which can be overly bright. There are very few speakers that are spec'd for this sort of application, and this was one of the cheaper ones. First I tried a Carvin PS12, a 300W PA speaker. Somehow it managed to fart out on the bass. I also tried a Texas Heat, and a Delta Pro 12a. This and the Delta Pro stayed. With these two speakers, that little amp can put out nearly as much volume as a 100W marshall stack. I've played outdoor gigs with it - I just kept turning it up because the more I did, the better it performed. The other guitar players at the gig complimented me on my juicy tone.

I just pulled the delta 12a this morning and tried it in a Carvin 212 cabinet in conjunction with a swamp thang. I've been looking for a speaker combo that plays well with my Carvin v3m 50w micro head. I think I've found it.
