This would be the best purpose built scraper my husband said he has used - he is a motor mechanic - great for getting hard bits of gaskets off parts and general cleaning. The three different sized blades make it versatile and have a lasting "cutting" edge.

I buy him lots of Lisle tools as he said they are purpose built tools of a good design.

I like this scraper, it works well for removing easy access gaskets. Not so easy to use in tight areas as the barrel of the blade holder often gets in the way. Some reviews have stated difficulty removing the blades. Simply loosen the handle depress the blade onto the scraping surface, rotate the tool 180 degrees and push on the blade again. It should now be loose and easy to remover from the handle. (don't lose those blades, they are like gold).

I'm split between a 2 and 3 star on this item. Realistic outlook leans to 2 starts as in the end this will become a tool that I end up replacing with something else.

I really am disappointed on the availability and price of the replacement scraper blades. The one I could find http://smile.amazon.com/Lisle-51130-Replacement-Blade-Scraper/dp/B000GTM3O6/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1448092625&sr=8-6&keywords=lisle+scraper+blades was quite expensive for a single blade. I will most like do my best to conserve the blade, resharpen it with a stone and when it is no longer usable this complete set will end up in the garbage with so many things I wish I would have not purchased.

This would have been a great scraper, the blades that come with it are good, but the build quality is terrible. Once a blade is firmly attached, it does not want to come out, and fighting with it while there is a razor blade in it is not a safe thing to do. The threads are plastic in the handle, and stripped within a few days of use, making it completely useless. Trash in less than a week.
