We love Bialetti espresso pots. Had a small for years, just purchased the larger and it is wonderful.

Curious about why the SMALLER pot has the heavy duty thicker and less apt to be too hot to touch HANDLE, and the LARGER has a lighter grade, too hot to immediately touch after heating HANDLE.

Seems a bit barse arkwards, but we love and use them both.

We love this espresso maker so much, we bought two. One for work, and one for home. Sturdy and beautiful, it makes a fabulous cup of espresso in no time at all. The larger size is awesome, and allows us to each have a small cup with one brew, or one large cup to keep to ourselves. Believe it or not, my husband even takes it ice fishing to enjoy a delicious hot cup on the ice.

The quality of the steel sections of this espresso maker is great (as expected), however the plastic handle is flimsy and feels like it won't last long (on my very similar Vev Vigano it broke after two years). More importantly there's a hole / vent just on top of the handle and when you pour coffee a pillar of steam is released through this vent burning your hand! I wonder if this hole is why it's called the Venus? Venus from hell maybe.

Works well and brews a good cup of coffee. However, I'm not so sure about the durability. The lid does not seem especially secure and the handle is a bit flimsy. Another thing to consider is the size. While it makes a nice big cup of coffee, the size makes it more difficult to open and close for adding the coffee and water.
