I have three rescued shepherds- One of which is now 12 years old. About 2 years ago I was looking for a joint supplement that would help the oldest be a little less stiff in the unforgiving winters. I came across these joint treats and never looked back. Purchased them on sale for 8.65 and ordered a few to get the free shipping. All three of the dogs like them- the smell is sort of like black licorice. They are soft enough to push pills into (which is very handy). I have not met a dog yet that didnt like the taste either. My three get very excited just to see/ smell this bag opening. The oldest and largest dog I own- weighing into the 41-80 lbs range gets 2-3 of these treas a day. So a bag for just that one dog lasts less than 1 month. Still a pretty good deal I think, especially if it means he is comfortable in the winter- not stiff and in pain. Sincle all three of my dogs like these and they can be used for multiple purposes- I go through these fast and order ON SALE, in bulk, and at the onset of winter to get stocked up. They've shipped quickly and accurately everytime so far.

As far an ingredients go: Made in the USA (always makes ME feel better). Distributed by Pet Health Solutions. Per treat (60 in ea. bag) here is the "NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION": Glucosamine HCI- 300mg, MethylSulfonylMethane (MSM)- 300mg, Creatine Monohydrate- 250mg, Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA)- 18mg, Vitamin E- 50IU, Manganese- 6mg, Zinc- 0.6mg. The listed "INGREDIENTS" are stated on my bag as: Glucosamine HCI, MethylSulfonylMethane (MSM), Marine Lipid Concentrates, Soybean Oil, Natural Meat Flavors (non-Bovine Origin), Vitamin E, Manganeses Sulfate, Zinc Sulfate. These are ok... the problem is that they do not have much of an effect on my 35 lb Beagle when using the recommended dosage. You have to triple or quadruple the number of treats in order to see a difference (and that many treats is not good for a Beagle who is already overweight! lol) For us, we'll be switching back to the Triple Strength chews from this seller. THOSE are fantastic, and much better suited to our needs :)

My 4 year old chocolate lab had knee surgery as a puppy and has just started to limp again. I've always given her the dasuquin with MSM and for some reason they weren't doing the trick anymore. I took her to the vets and they tried a few different medications and none of them worked. So I decided to try giving her a few of these on top of her dasuquin and fish oil. Initially my dog loved these. We weaned him into the full dose over a week but after about day 4, he started throwing up a few hours after having one. He's got a pretty sensitive stomach but there was something about these treats that really made him sick. I'm sure it wasn't the glucosamine that made him sick because he's had lots of other kinds without issue so it makes me wonder what else they are throwing in there. Not worth having a sick dog, we won't be re-ordering.

My two dogs need these vitamins for their aging joints. My basset hound is very picky and suspicious of everything because she has had too many balls of cheese and hotdogs with pills jammed inside. She usually eats these without a problem. Since she needs to take two of them every day, I find it best to let her get hungry before giving them to her. They aren't her favorite treat, but she eats them. The great dane needs three of them a day, so these don't last very long in our house. Love the price!

I bought this because my dog is getting up in the years and after a very long hike, he was so sore he was literally waddling around! My dog wasn't overly excited about these treats, and after a couple months they changed color and consistency. It was a great idea for a product, but my dog doesn't like it and I wish it would keep better.
