I screwed up and ordered the right but wrong ball. 2 5/16 x 1 1/4 shank is what i needed and what I got. I wanted the 15k ball that was a dollar cheaper but This one has the same 10k rating the solid steel mount I purchased. This is everything it was said to be. Not worth the trouble to return and will work just fine.

Seems to be of good quality - I tow a heavy boat and replace the ball every 3-4 years regardless. Just make sure you measure your tongue thickness so you order the correct stub length. When completely tightened the threads should protrude at least 1/2" beyond the nut.

Got this as part of my front end setup. It's much easier to push a trailer down a long driveway if it's attached to the front of the truck. Got tired of moving the mount/ball from back to front each time I pulled my boat so I got a 2nd setup which is left on the front hitch. Does the job and since it's only used 1% of the time didn't need an expensive stainless ball like I have on the back,

Had to ask a lot of friends to find a socket big enough to tighten this one up -- it's huge!

Bought a new weight distribution hitch that came equipped with a 2" ball ... I needed a 2-5/16" ball for my larger travel trailer but wanted one with the larger big beefy 1-1/4" shank ... my WD hitch had a hole for that size and NO WAY would I go buy a 2-5/16" ball with a smaller diameter shank and use a spacer in it!
I want to best thickest built ball and shank and I could not find a ball this size with this larger shank here locally.
Price was great and I love having a big bad boy ball and shank to pull the 5-6K load of my trailer.

Purchased this for an F-250 super duty to tow a 26 foot travel trailer. Couldn't have purchased something better and the shipping was awesome! This was a heavier duty trailer ball. It works for larger diameter holed receiver hitches. IT WILL NOT FIT the smaller holes of some receiver hitches.

Package was BEAT up from the ball rolling and popping the plastic air bubbles it was packed in, but no worries it is metal.
