This item has proven to be well-made and durable. I only wish the exact socket size had been included in the description. I measure it as approx. 5mm. Turns out I really need 4mm. I'll still keep this item in case I ever need this size someday.

The item seems to be of good quality, I really like the appearance of the walnut handle. But, the problem I ran into is the opening was too large, it didn't fit the tuning pegs on my antique autoharp. The previous one I had was too small (3/16 in. or 4.75 mm), so now I was really upset. I measured the pegs with my digital calipers and they measure exactly 5 mm, so I expected this wrench to fit, but it didn't. So, I measured the opening in the end of the wrench and it measures exactly 5.25 mm. Hmmm. So, I am doing what another commenter did, and that is, I put JB Weld in the open end of the wrench and set it onto the end of a peg to dry. Once the epoxy sets I will pop it off and see if it will fit snugly on the other tuning pegs.

These are not made from the best of metals and it was quite a bit larger than my zither pins for hammer dulcimer but, here is the quick and easy solution IF you have an extra tuning pin OR don't mind removing one....Grab some epoxy mix at your local hardware store.Wrap the square part of your pin with masking tape (as neat as possible but make sure it is covered well). Mix epoxy and put a small amount in the head of the tuning tool. Some epoxies cure faster than others!! Place the zither pin into the epoxy while removing excess as best as possible and let cure. If you've covered you pin well it will pull out with a little elbow grease and, voila...a perfect fit and a stronger tool!! P.S. The ones that I have had some grease (??) inside the cavity so that must be cleaned out...Good luck!

I bought this to use with my Oscar Schmidt autoharps, but the tuning pins are tapered to 4mm at the end so this wrench is too large to fit properly. It looks like a well-made wrench and the price was great. Sadly, I must return it and look for another.

It fits perfectly on my 47 stringed, style 23 Lyon and Healy pedal harp's tuning pegs. I haven't really had a chance to put it through much use since I just bought it recently, but it seems pretty sturdy. The wooden handle looks nice, but I don't like the fact that if I dropped it, it would probably damage the harp more than a tuning key with a rubber handle. Same goes for the exposed metal part.

Although this item shipped quickly, it destroyed one of the string holders as it got stuck on the harp. I had to replace the string, tuning fork, and the item was rendered useless. Poor metal, poor fit, poor quality. I cannot recommend.

It was a well built tuner..unfortunately I had to return it because it was too small for my pedal harp. I need another size large. The string metal which you have to twist is too large for my harp. I want to order anther. size large. Thank you! Judith Tuohey.
