I love this eyelash curler! It really takes a while (maybe hours) to get used to it. Just keep at it! I have NO eyelashes, and my old metal curler just didn't make them stand out much. This one gets up to the root close enough to really make them CURL and show up. I use it before and after I put on mascara. The reason I'm on this website is because I'm looking for another one. The first one I bought in different state while on vacation, and I want one for my gym bag and one for at home. I've had it for quite a while and just changed the pad (conveniently located in the handle) and it even stated on the package that we can get replacement pads free for life. I don't know how to do that (or if they will end up charging S & H), but I'm getting ready to look into that, too.

I purchased the Japonseque double pad curler after reading the great reviews for the similar Go Curl. My eyes are a little on the small side, and my lashes are skimpy. I played around with this curler for about an hour trying to figure it out, and still haven't had luck. Because of its design, I cannot seem to get the curler in close enough to my eyes to catch on to the lashes. Also, the curler is black, so unless you have long thick lashes, you cannot see whether your lashes are actually in the device. I keep thinking there must be a way to angle it or something, but no illustrations are included. If anyone knows the secret, please share it. Even though this product has not worked for me at all, I am giving it a 3 stars for now, hoping that I may figure it out.

I bought this yesterday and was very excited based on the reviews for the Go-Curl. After looking at both devices, the only difference was that this one included an extra pad in the bottom. After trying several times to curl my lashes, which are not skimpy or short, I gave up. It basically did nothing other than pull an eyelash out. No curl, nothing. My cheap-o $2 silver curler did a much better job than Go-Curl. I'll try again, but I don't have high hopes.
