The Polk Audio RM6752 Center Channel Speaker for RM6750, Black Finish (single) allows you to add a voice-matched back surround speaker in a 6.1-channel setup. The integrated Power Port Bass Vent designed onto the back of this compact unit is the same technology used in full-sized Polk Audio speakers, and improves lower midrange response and all-important blending for a great performance at a reasonable price range. This integrated design reveals a midrange with no hole in the frequencies, for male vocals that are rich and full rather than thin and weak like many other systems.

The RM6752 utilizes dual 3.25-inch polymer-composite cone drivers that are lightweight and efficient for distortion-free midrange, and a high-performance 0.75-inch silk and polymer-composite dome tweeter for superior imaging and smooth highs. The integrated baffle and grille design allows maximum sound dispersion with minimum diffraction for superior imaging, while the mineral-filled polypropylene enclosure is non-resonant for great looks and natural sound. The RM6752 includes two integrated keyhole-slot wall mounting brackets for easy wall mounting with no extra brackets or wall mounts to buy, as well as a threaded insert that accepts popular articulating brackets (sold separately). This center speaker is magnetically shielded for safe placement next to TVs and video monitors without causing video distortion, comes in a sleek black finish, and measures 11.1875 x 5.8125 x 4.3125 inches (WxDxH).

Don't let the small size and light weight fool you. This center channel speaker packs plenty of punch. For me, the main purpose of a CS speaker is to deliver clear vocals and dialogue. With this Polk, I no longer have to lean forward in my chair or crank up the volume to hear conversations. All sound coming from it is crystal-clear. I'm very happy with it. I have it set up with an Onkyo receiver, an RCA sub, two Bose front speakers, and four Klipsch surround speakers.

Got an HD LCD TV for Christmas to replace the Sony CRT. That meant the center speaker (an $200 big name in high end audio) could no longer sit on top of the set. Wall mounting wasn't an option (uh, I have a WIFE.) This little Polk unit fits in the TV stand (standing upright) next to the audio/SAT/DVD units. Yeah, I was a bit worried about the sound coming out of such a small unit (especially male vocals) but Polk does wonders with their small bookshelf speakers (of which I have a pair in the bedroom.) How impressive is this! Crisp, loud vocals with plenty of warmth and depth. Male voices are plenty deep. For $71 and free shipping, this was a steal!!!!

The Cerwin Vega center I was trying to replace was about a decade old, so I figured that technological improvements over that time-span would let me buy a better speaker for a reasonable price. Although the price is reasonable on this Polk, I was certainly not impressed with the sound produced. ALthough the CV only has one speaker and this Polk has 3 built into it, the sound on the Polk is so much quieter and less crisp. I guess I'll put it in with the tv in my bedroom. It certainly doesn't belong with my 50" Sony SXRD HDTV, my Harman Kardon receiver, or my JBL speakers.

If you're just looking for a fair speaker at a reasonable price, I'd recommend the Polk. But, if you want a center channel that produces strong and crisp sound, you should look elsewhere.
