I have used 5 different manufacturers' John Deere (JD)Green and this is the the best I have used including the JD OEM paint. It spays smooth without streaks, the color is excelllent, and the sheen is much better than any other paint. One can sprayed an 18 cuft trailer exterior with two coats. The label recommends three coats but I got excellent coverage with two coats.

I had some rust and paint peeling on my 9 year old John Deere lawn tractor and I wanted to clean up the rust and sand the damaged paint off. I sanded and then primered before I used the Rust-Oleum JD Green paint. The paint turned out rough in some spots and it may have been a reaction to the primer I used even though it also was Rust-Oleum. I re-sanded the roughness and re-pained the parts that needed it and it turned out very well. You also need to follow the directions as to the spraying distance from the surface. Done correctly the paint will look very nice so I recommend this paint if you have a John Deere product with green paint.

This paint matches perfectly with the paint applied from the factory on John Deere tractors, I was looking for paint to touch up the mower decks on my JD tractors after years of service and recent repairs and this matches perfectly and is easy to use at a reasonable price.

This is typical Rusto-Oleum spray paint.

Just a quick review to say that it matches the yellow on the deck of the newer 3, 5 and 7 series lawn tractors. You can do spot painting and it blends with the original so that I couldn't tell.

As with all paints like this, spray lots of thin coats. If you try to cover a bare spot in one or two coats, you'll get a guaranteed paint run or sag.

Good quality paint, and the color is a very close match.
Not real pleased with the nozzle & spray pattern. I prefer a different style of nozzle, this one throws a round pattern. The type I like much better is the (more expensive, apparently) nozzle that throws a vertical oval pattern.
No biggie, this is just touch-up paint for equipment.
Also, I finally found some local, much cheaper. Home Depot stocks it hereabouts.

A magical creature thought to be extinct. Previously thought to exist in Westeros and Essos, but now living in my backyard. At seven years old and six and a half feet long with long claws and spiny crests, he is a young dragon. His bones were very dark bone due to high iron content. Currently, he's rust-free and green (and gold) and is vigilantly protecting my domain, as he is protected.

Great paint. I wanted to repaint a lawn mower that I have. I finally found the paint on Amazon after looking for it for several days. Tried local paint store and also Sears mower parts store. Still not help. Did some research and finally found out the paint color is International Red Farm Equip. paint.

Purchased 2 cans but only used one can. Mower looks like new. The paint went on smooth and dried very hard over night.
I would highly recommend this paint for use.

First, paint is fine, color is the issue. There are two John Deere Yelllow's out there. The other is: Rust-Oleum Automotive 249275, which is more yellow and has less of a mustard/orange tint to it. In my case. (2011 John Deere X-500 Multi-Terrain tractor) the 249275 was a closer match. Story time. After I bought the tractor I bought a separate set of wheels on-line (for winter snow tires). The wheels were white, I put the snow tires on thses wheels and mounted the wheels on the tractor. When my farmer brother-in-law saw these white wheels on a John Dere tractor he told me it was sacrilege to put white wheels on a John Deere tracor. So, my mission was clear, I had to paint the wheels yellow. First I got a spray can of Rust-Oleum Yellow at Home Depot. Turned out way too orange. So I ordered the above 7443830 paint, was less orange, but still did not match my other legitimate John Deere yellow wheels. So then I found and bought the 249275 paint. Whala! Perfect match. The moral to the story here is is that it apparently depends on the age of your John Deere tractor (maybe other factors as well).
