Received my shovel today. Amazon Prime and UPS did an excellent job.

I just finished the rest of my driveway since my plastic shovel (made by the same company) broke.
The shovel photo is misleading. The blade does have depressions formed to maintain strength.

The business edge of the shovel or blade edge is not straight. It looks like a noodle. I had to get out my hammer and a block of wood to straighten it in order to use it.

The handle could be 2 to 4 inches longer or a few degrees more angle. It is awkward for a 6 foot tall person but may be just right for someone 5 feet tall.

The plastic handle gives a lot. I hope it does not break.

Why can't American companies make American worthy products.

This shovel is built like a tank. It will last for years. Now, for review purposes I'm 6 ft tall... You can tell it's designers never used it or they were 4 ft tall because it's handle is too short. Also the steel is not bent/formed enough. This causes you to have to push it with the handle really low to the pavement. Ie, the angle is wrong.
Your back will hate it!

This shovel is heavy enough to chip up the ice under the snow, and will allow you to push all the way across the driveway in one stroke. It takes 10 minutes to clear my 25 x 50 foot driveway with 4" of snow. It does not break when you hit a crack. It will stop you dead in your tracks, but the thing is indestructable.
I have broken 5 plastic shovels with wear strips and two aluminum shovels in two years.

I ordered this shovel to replace a cheap-o plastic shovel that I had worn out. I had actually been looking for a good metal snow shovel for a few years, but they're hard to find in the stores near me. Ordered this one from Amazon - it came quickly and it's perfect!

It's heavy (and heavy-duty) so if you're prone to lifting/throwing snow, you're going to be worn-out. For plowing snow off the driveway and sidewalks this is perfect.

I'm not sure if the handle will last forever but the blade/shaft assembly look like they'll be in the game for years to come.

Ever try to buy a snow shovel in the south? That is why I bought this one. Central Tennessee doesn't get much snow so finding a real snow shovel required me to go shopping online for this one. The idea is to push the snow, not lift it, and this one works fine, although I would have preferred one with a longer handle.

I bought this to replace a very old True Temper Klondike steel snow pusher. Like the old one it's heavy and sturdy, perhaps even sturdier since this one has handle braces. But the handle is just too short. I'm a little less than six feet tall. Maybe a local hardware store will be able to replace the handle with a longer one. The longer handle wouldn't even need to have a D-handle -- my old snow pusher doesn't have one and I never missed it.

I have not used this product yet, but I do have a old True Temper Snow Boss to compare it to. The Braces on the Arctic Blast look weak, they are 2 separate pieces of straight flat steel and they overlap each other at the center, one screw goes through both pieces and also is the same screw that holds the wood handle to the steel shovel, one screw, that does not go completely through anything, it might be a inch long, holds this entire device together. Pretty Sad! The Snow Boss had a one piece round brace that was bent at maybe a 80 degree angle, it is welded to center post and Flattened and riveted to the blade on both sides. The Blade itself is attached to the handle with a pin going from side to side through the handle and steel. I can see this new shovel will need to be repaired before I start to use it, if not it will fail pretty quickly, the one screw that holds everything together will need to be replaced with skinny bolt and nut with a couple washers, and then a hole will need to be drilled through the bottom of the handle and the steel post, and a nut and bolt installed as there as well to keep the handle secure.
