I've always been a fan of Loctite brand threadlocker, but I can honestly say that the Permatex brand works just as well. Order blue if you still wish to remove the bolt, order red for a permanent lock needing heat to remove.

If you have an application in which a bolt needs to be tight and the object at hand is subject to vibration, then you need this Blue Threadlocker. Firearms, for example, involve lots of screws to mount front sights, scope mounts, and all manner of similar applications. Even for .22 caliber firearms which don't involve that much recoil violence, eventually bolts shake loose; usually at the most inconvenient possible time. A tiny dab of this Threadlocker on the threads of the bolt or screw just about always fixes this. This is the medium strength, which means that if you ever really need to remove the screw you can still do it with some elbow grease and leverage, but absent such an effort it will stay put. I use this material regularly and it never lets me down. RJB.

I use this stuff for everything. Just remember that it takes around a day to truly set in. I am a police officer and i use this for my Magpul UBR stock (the set screws in it) for my AR-15. My life truly depends on this stuff. Just shake this stuff up and put a ring around the screw and screw it in then let it set for a day (you don't need too much).I also use it for my ASP, where i installed a window breaker on the end (that screws in) that allows the cap to screw off to use it (so the window breaker has the threadlock so it won't unscrew but the cap of the window breaker unscrews easily). I also use this stuff for random screws that keep falling off other items around the house. This bottle is BIG and it should last at least a year so get one now! I also like the permatex's screw on top compared to loctites not to mention you get much more with permatex. I also have this stuff laying around the cold/hot garage and the weather hasn't effected the bottle's use.

Life's hard lessons have taught me to now ALWAYS use this stuff on bolts. Especially if you the bolt is going into something that vibrates AT ALL or is exposed to alot of jarring/shifting.

Being mindful of putting this on will save you money on parts and repairs, I learned that with my riding mower!

Why you may not understand what i'm talking about but here it goes, i have a Beeman RS2/Grizzly x2 Duel-Caliber (Pellet Gun) and every 35-50 shots the Screw holding the changeable barrel loosens i have shot over 1000 shots and not a bit loser than it was when i first applied the thread locker

for like 3 bucks i am very pleased with this item have not had a single problem with it and i brought 2 day shipping with it and it came 1 day earlier packing was good

It's threadlocker. It's been around forever and it works great. The blue one is great for optics to keep them solid but if you want to try something else it will come off without putting heat on it.
