I have been playing this PC version of Ghost Recon since its release and it is STILL a very, very fun game. It's one of my all-time favorite. There are definitely many other tactical shooters out there but this one has that magic that keeps you coming back over and over.

This is also one of the very few games that you will find that make you feel that when you get killed that it is completely your own fault. The enemy movement and camouflaged uniforms melt into the background so seamlessly that you can actually be staring right at an enemy as its moving slowly toward you and not see him - very impressive. And also terrifying. When you are shot once and go down, it's instantaneous and a shock because your concentration is so focused on your surroundings and where the threat is coming from. There's a threat indicator right on the screen showing you where, approximately, enemies are coming from.......it's up to you to recognize them and take them out before they take you out. It's the ultimate in suspense.

I very highly recommend playing through this game and its sequels, Desert Siege and Island Thunder. Gaming fun for years.
