Beginners piano lessons are easy to set up and follow. If you have a hard time memorizing things like I do, the lessons are set up to make it easy for you. Plenty of audio and video so you know if your doing it right! Also there's a lot of interaction when connected to your Laptop or PC.

Before purchasing this product, I have the guitar version which persuaded my decision. This product is nice for the beginner, with no background in music. It does lay it out with ease, and explains quite a bit for the beginner.

It will not install. It says too many authorizations, except it is on only one computer. I have emailed them but other than the old unistall/reinstall I am not getting anywhere. Since they are in my area I am going to call tomorrow and find out why since this seems to be an issue with this software, they do not have a work around readily available.

Update: Not pleased with eMedia. I went back and forth with them too much and was given the same instructions that didn't work. They wouldn't even check the authorization DB to see if there was an issue with the DB. I am pleased however with Amazon. Without even asking the gave me a full refund. I am getting different learning SW.

Just got my copy today of Beginner Piano and Keyboard. Though it says it is for Windows 7 , no where
on the package does it make that claim. Win 95 to Win XP is what the package says.

This is the second time I have bought this cd as I somehow lost the disk from the first one. The lessons
seem useful enough although the instructor is about as friendly as you may have had as a youth.

This is an inexpensive program that has a video teacher lead you into the basics of keyboard/piano play. The graphics are not dynamic but, on the other hand, that makes it usable on older PC's that don't have the highest performance CPU's.
It is very possible, not to say easy, to turn your PC keyboard into a simple piano keyboard. However, this program does not do that and instead prompts you to link up your separate MIDI keyboard to a USB port so that the program can review your actions.

So, to summarize, for a simple learning program, if you have a piano, or more to the point, a MIDI keyboard, this program is a great starter. If, on the other hand, you wanted to get a feel for the musical world without buying more costly equipment, this is not it. You will(without piano or MIDI) get just an inkling and should visit a music store next to see how the real thing works...and costs...
