I was worried with this being so cheap that it would be junk, but it worked out great. It held our 20 lb turkey no problem. Very sturdy.
I also had a concern over it saying it was chrome plated. In my head I was thinking this thing is going to flake or something the first time I wash it. Nope. I've had no problem with it. It went through the dishwasher twice and came out sparkling clean. You can't even tell it's been used. It's a pretty good piece of cookware.

I have had one of these for years. The Teflon one began to flake; the grocery store metal one was flimsy and rusted. This one is much sturdier. Nothing beats the adjustable sides!

I purchased this item specifically for my thanksgiving turkey. After the food was done cooking I soaked the rack in hot soapy water to loosen the stuck on food bits. I washed it after 15 minutes of soaking and the rack was already rusted! Not just a bit of rust, it was in every groove and notch. I hadn't expected a $9.49 rack to last forever, but I certainly expected to get more than one use out of it and even a "cheap" rack should not rust after 15 minutes of soaking.

FYI: for those wondering what size bird/roast it can accommodate - I had a 19 pound turkey and the rack was not big enough. The turkey hung over all 4 sides of the rack AND the "adjustable" rack collapsed 3 times under the weight of the turkey. The rack is adjusted by moving the bars into a set of grooves based on what you are cooking, but the grooves are not nearly deep enough for the bars to stay locked in place.

Ill either invest in a high quality stainless steel rack that can't rust, or buy the 3 dollar disposable aluminum pan/rack combo from the grocery store.

I bought this one to replace a non stick rack. That one of was of poor quality it had started to rust. This new Good Cook Roast Rack is chrome plated. Used to cook a turkey breast on Christmas. Easy to use and easy to clean.

Works well. No problem with the chrome chipping or anything. It's a little hard to clean because the racks flop about as your washing them. In retrospect I don't need the ability to raise the racks at an angle, so I'd be better served with a simpler "flat" rack. For me personally, it's a 3-star, but for what it is, I'm going to rate it 4 because I think it does the job it was designed for very well.
