Our concept line features machines, which use a jaw system to load the capsule easily and a high profile avant-garde design, with more rounded contours and shapes.The D290 machine deploys technology essential for preparing an outstanding Espresso, and is exceptionally easy to use. Programmable automatic control of the amount of coffee in the cup. A high pressure pump (19 bars) extracts all the aromas and develops a smooth crema in the cup. A thermobloc which heats water to 187°and 196° during extraction and empties the remaining water after each use so that the water is fresh for each preparation. A simple system with a jaw which perforates the capsule and soaks all the ground coffee to optimally filter the coffee. Removable steam nozzle for hot water and steam. Special steam nozzle for Cappuccino-Caffelatte. Automatic ejection of used capsule when the jaw opens.Tray for used capsules. Red and black color ABS finish. Removable water container (41 oz). I first met this machine while in my hotel room in Oslo Norway while for business. I'm such a coffee snob when it comes to coffee that I usually bring my coffee and filters with me on business trips and was overcome by how good -scratch that - GREAT this "pod" coffee and machine produced. Upon return to US I started searching for the machine and found it here at Amazon! Pods are 50 cents a pop so neither this machine - nor the coffee is for the faint of heart. BUT - once it arrived home I immediately gave away all my beans and have used nothing else since. Its Terrific and doesn't disappoint day after day!!!!
