This is a fine little value if you are looking for a little value. Here's what you get:

475 watts - this means, for example, "broil" (top element on) is not exactly scorching (238W?).

The "two slice" stray is 9.25x5.5" - I suppose that's big enough for two slices of Wonder Bread or such, but I haven't tried it (we don't buy those sizes of bread).

Actual outside dimensions (harder than heck to find): 7" high (with 1" legs), 6" deep, 13" wide. Clearance from tray to top heating coil: 2.5"

It's very hard to find toaster ovens for only 2 slices these days. Most are for 4 to even 6 slices and can't fit on my counter. I bought this one because it fit BUT the height is SOOOO low that nothing but a thin piece of bread will cook in it without bursting into flames - a kaiser roll actually touches the top heating element. Needless to say, I sent this directly back as I really didn't want my house to burn down.
This might seem picky, but really it is called a "toaster oven" not just a "toaster" and I bought it to be able to make more than just toast, otherwise I'd just buy a toaster.

All I want (and still don't have) is a small, quality-made 2-slice toaster oven. I'm willing to pay more. Nothing on the market is similar to my old Black & Decker model that was so great until it finally died. I got this one and it is not really acceptable as a replacement.

This unit is small, but it is too small. If it were an inch bigger in all dimensions, it would be so much better. It can fit 2 halves of an English muffin or bagel, or one small slice of pizza, but only one slice of the bread we use. There is not much height inside; only about 2 1/2 inches between the shelf and the top burner, so forget trying to warm up a muffin (unless you cut it into pieces).

There is no temperature control like on my old toaster oven. There are 2 controls: 1) a selector for toast (both bottom and top heating elements), bake (bottom element only), and broil (top element only) and 2) a timer that goes up to 15 minutes.

The white finish is decent looking. The timer clicks audibly, and it's fairly loud but it's not horribly so. It seems to take twice as long to make toast as my previous toaster oven, but it does toast evenly.

I'm not really happy with this. I would gladly pay twice the price for a unit just a little larger, with more height inside, and with a temperature control, but nothing like that is available that I can find.

Update 12/29/12: I didn't use this more than a week before I gave it to Goodwill and replaced it with a Hamilton Beach model 31134. That one is a bit larger, has temp control, and cooks quickly.

This is a mighty toaster oven! I bake cookies, and am planning to broil some food in this tiny toaster. it is about the size of a loaf of bread, if you want to picture the size of it. it comes with an airbake pan which make cooking very easy! the timer on it makes cooking for me quite simple, since I often burn things because I get distracted!
I bought mine at fry's electronics for $17, but at $20 I still say it is well worth every penny.
I also love being able to use my counters without having a humongous oven taking up all the elbow room- makes my tiny kitchen seems spacious!
I would love it more if it came in black...

I have been searching locally for an inexpensive small toaster oven to warm food and make toast at my office. I could not find one for less than $35 plus tax anywhere close to home, and was thrilled to find this darling little oven on Amazon for less than $20. It arrived yesterday (Friday) and I can't wait to take it with me to work on Monday. I am so happy to have it! Coupled with my little Black & Decker DCM18S Brew 'n Go Personal Coffeemaker with Travel Mug, plus the undercounter refrigerator, I can now make oatmeal, toast, sandwiches, and more.

Today I ran the bake cycle for 5 minutes and a puff of smoke drifted out the right side vent. Then I ran a light toast cycle. Both cycles gave off alittle burning smell (no food was inside the oven while testing). But I believe this is normal for a new toaster oven appliance, and will dissipate with use. Also I noticed the timer continues to tick for 10-15 seconds after the elements go out. I suppose this is some type of cooling cycle.

Currently Amazon offers this oven in both white and black. The following is included with this oven: removable rack to support included baking pan. The rack does not move when the oven door is opened. The rack does not move and is stable while the baking pan is removed from oven. The baking pan measures 6 inches deep and 9 inches long. The oven easily holds two slices of "old fashioned" grocery store type bread, two poptarts, two Eggo type waffles, or one slice of Stouffer's type french bread pizza. There is plenty of room to toast two sandwiches at once (two pieces of bread on top of each other) made with normal grocery store bread.
