Update: It appears that this may be at least partially fixed. In my case, it seemed to sort reviews so the relevant ones appear first. However, the nearly five star rating is still not broken down by product, so you cannot tell if any specific product is getting lower ratings without reading every review. The products have to be treated completely separately, and they are still not, so the nearly five star rating is useless other than to say that McCormick overall has great products.

The way these seasonings are mixed into one, you would think whatever seasoning you purchase to be excellent, but unfortunately, because there are so many, there is no way to know.

I thought coming to the review I was reading reviews on Saffron and realized the people were reviewing completely different products like lemon grass.

These reviews are for McCormick seasoning in general, not the specific product, so if you are here reading this review because you thought you were reviewing a specific product, you are mistaken as I was.

Not all products across the product line are the same quality and have widely varying costs, so reviewing them all as though they represented a single product is misleading at best.

Excellent High Quality Saffron

I bought this saffron because of the excellent price (around 25% less than most grocery stores). This saffron itself arrived well packaged by McCormick and I could tell that it was fresh as soon as I opened the jar. Now here's the thing about saffron: because it is so EXPENSIVE, there are some disreputable suppliers out there that will mix crocus stigmas (where real saffron comes from) with safflower stigmas that have been dyed red. How do you tell the difference? Well taste for one. Adulterated saffron has this stale, almost plastic-like taste. Another way is to mix a bit with a glass of water. The real stuff will turn the water BRIGHT yellow, while the cheap stuff turns it this murky yellow-orangeish color. McCormick? Bright, clear yellow-tinted water. Completely unadulterated. Great product, great buy. Highly recommended.

Smells & tastes wonderful

Smells great, just like pumpkin pie. I realize this can be made by combining four different spices, but this is just so much easier and more economical for me. I use this in a number recipe including pumpkin spice latter and some other dishes. But my favorite is Paleo pumpkin spice cookies from Primal Palate website (http://www.primalpalate.com/paleo-recipe/pumpkin-spice-cookies/). Here's the recipe:

Ingredients
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup Organic Coconut Oil
2 cup Almond Meal/Flour
1 Tbsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 cup shredded Coconut, unsweetened, optional
1 Tbsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Blend all ingredients in a large mixing bowl with a hand mixer.
On a parchment lined baking sheet, drop spoonful of batter (about 1-2 tablespoons in size).
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Let cool and serve.

The Good & The Bad............

This is the most delicious spice I have tried!!!! It goes great with any meat, veggies, or rice dishes.
The bad thing is that the company has discontinued it, which I am very disappointed in. Sure wish they would bring it back!!!!! If anyone is reading this...why not write McCormick and request that they bring it back! I have & I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ground Savory, sometimes called "Summer Savory" is the Ground Leaf of an Herb grown in the Mediterranean Region used in the Middle Ages, its aromatic Flavor is Featured in many Dishes.
