I ordered it on Wednesday night and had it on Monday with regular shipping. It was easy to install and looks the same as the original. I expect it will last another 10 years just like the first one. I have a suntea jar that I just love and did not want to throw away. The spigot that came with the jar had started to leak so bad that I just had to quit using it. So I came to Amazon because they carry EVERYTHING and low and behold they had this item which is described as a water dispenser replacement faucet. But because it looks so similar to what I had on my jar I decided to give it a shot since it only cost upwards of around $8 and no shipping. I just couldn't pass up the chance that it would work. And sure enough it is a perfect fit and does not leak and I actually like it better than the original one that came with the jar. Instead of pushing on the little nub to dispense the tea like I had to do before, now I have a nice big lever that I push down to despense my tea. Very please with my purchase.

In my experience these last about 6 months to a year, then break at a flimsy plastic hinge-like piece where the lever pivots. We bought two of these to avoid having to scramble when one goes out.

This 3/4 inch size fits correctly on our typical ceramic dispenser - but it leaked, despite being tight enough and installed correctly. The problem was not the valve itself, but the seals around the hole - that is, the washers or O-rings.

Then I got a brainwave and tried the seals from the old one - and bingo, no more leak, everything is good. The old and new rings are the same size and shape, but of different materials. The old, good ones are translucent and I'm guessing silicon - the new, leaky ones are whitish and seemingly plastic or artificial rubber or somesuch.

So my verdict is, the valve is OK, and can be expected to work fine if you can get the right kind of O-rings to seal it on with.
