Seems like every movie night or TV show watching event is accompanied by popped corn.
Thus, we definitely burn through a lot of this stuff.

We use to buy whatever was in bulk at our local supermarket. Since we were eating so much, we figured we should look into a non-genetically altered version.

- First time purchase of organic & non-GMO popcorn
- Kernels are smaller than store-bought bulk
- No difference in our hot-oil popper, everything popped just the same
- The hull of the corn is almost non-existent = the smaller size. Thus, this lends itself to a more tender popcorn and less getting stuck in your teeth.
- Also the kernels that don't pop fully are still chewable
- When Googling hull-less popcorn (not that this is hull-less), its supposed to be easier to digest too

We use the West Bend 82386 Kettle Krazy Popcorn Popper and Nut Roaster with this popcorn.

We have people over often and we always get compliments when we pop this corn with just a bit of oil and add a dash of salt before serving. Sometimes we'll melt butter, but mostly we don't. Now when going to those same people's houses they too are starting to offer popcorn.

OVERALL:
It's a tasty snack, easy to make, popular with guests, a whole lot cheaper than offering a bowl full of chips AND it's organic and not-genetically altered. Thus we know more readily what it is we are putting in our bodies.

We kicked chemicals about two years ago, and since the microwave popcorn is so full of toxic junk, it went out the door with the rest of the other stuff. As other reviewers stated, the kernels are smaller but they pop up to the same size as other popcorn. I use a Pop Lite air popper and I've never had an issue. Very few unpopped kernels and the half-popped ones are edible. I melt some of my homemade sweetcream butter made with raw heavy cream (it's indescribably delicious) and I sprinkle some mild Himalayan pink salt over it. Once that's all tossed together, it's the best popcorn I've ever had. When we go to the movies my kids beg me to smuggle in a bag of this stuff instead of buying the gross over-oiled, heavily salted, fake-buttered movie theater popcorn. I wish I'd been using this popcorn for all the years I used the microwave stuff. Ah well, lesson (eventually) learned.

We tried other organic popcorn, and this is the best we've found so far. It pops very well in our hot-air popper, with few unpopped kernels, and few hulls. Very tasty!

The bags were shipped fairly quickly, considering they were coming from quite a distance, and when they were on backorder we were not charged for the shipping of the other bags.

Very satisfied, will buy again. In fact, this is the second time we bought this, and will probably continue to buy.

I am a popcorn crazy. I really wanted to find an organic product. I love my NOW products so thought, yeah why not. Sadly it did not perform up to my expectations. The popcorn never fully exploded. It popped and was edible, but you had to watch for the one that would break your teeth. Maybe I got a stale bag?? I don't know but Arrowhead is where I ended up and it is very very good. Purchased at Whole foods.

Honestly, despite being a gourmet popcorn fanatic, I never realized there was such a big difference in the taste of the popcorn itself.

This particular popcorn tastes so good, I can forgo oil and eat it with simple seasoning. The natural taste is light and toasted. Add to that, the fact that hulls are practically nonexistent, and you've got a winner!

I have since tried other popcorns, but this is by far the best tasting.

Imay have gotten a bad batch but this is the worst popcorn I've ever fixed. It is tough, a lot didn't pop, and it seemed there was an excessive amount of hulls. I thought the organic would have a better corn taste than the genetically altered stuff they grow today, but it didn't. No heirloom strain here. Honestly this only deserved a 1/2 star.

I am always looking for foods that have not been altered in any way. I am delighted to find this popcorn and I tested it by cooking it in 2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil in a stainless steel Great Northern popcorn popper that has a crank to keep the kernels moving in the popper. They all popped completely, and perfectly with this organic brand.

I also taste tested a store bought version of yellow popcorn for comparison. As far as popping completely, this brand won. The store version had about 9 to 12 unpopped kernels left behind using the same method. There were also approximately 15 partially popped kernels left over with the store brand. There were none with this organic brand. The size of the popcorn were both equal, but the hulls were more noticeable with this brand, yet they didn't seem to get caught in the teeth any more or less than the other. Flavor was good, but not as flavorful as the store brand with nothing added to it. The texture was different from the store bought version as well. It was less "light" and a bit more chewy in texture. Nothing that would be noticeable at all for those who like the caramel version, or if you like to add salt and butter on your popcorn.

I will be purchasing more of this brand. I was somewhat concerned about the packaging, but relieved to find that it comes with its' own ziplock sealer, so no need to store it in something else to keep it fresh. Hope this is useful in helping you decide to purchase. Enjoy!
